Hey everyone! I am currently deployed but I’ll be going to my next unit at Ft. Gordon, GA in Augusta in a few months and I was wondering if there was a fighting game scene in or near Augusta?

I play SSF4AE and Skullgirls.
Wow, that is a tough one. Sadly not too many people play those (aka extremely scattered)…or just afraid to admit they play.
The only tip I can give right away is a local arcade called Flashback Games. They have old arcade machines, but they do have new school (current-gen) tournaments being hosted there from time to time by different people. There are going to be a tournament there on May 25th, June 1st, and June 15th. I would say, if possible make it out to one of the events and chat up some people. Beyond that, I will continue to search around to try to help out. Good Luck…

Thanks dude! Sadly though I won’t be able to make it to any meets until November. That’s when my deployment ends. I’ll see if I can try and help grow the scene out there.

Finally, entry into any of the 3 tournaments will get you a Free pass to our 3rd annual “F3” event on July 14th.
