General Anti-V-13 strategies?

Syxx, play me online sometime and you can beat up on my V-13 all you want.

If your blocking a super in the air you will still get hit by it, you need to faultless defense or barrier block it (back A+B), whatever its called in this game.

This fight is annoying, I have only managed to win this fight because the v-13 must have been dumbfounded by the fact that i actually blocked almost everything and was in their face without losing too much life, i think they just gave up on blocking, or her close game is that bad… probably the former. At least V-13 will help chase off the random scrubs who don’t want to learn how to beat her. Though i do wish they would lower her damage just a hair… 6k-7k damage from full screen away is pretty broken.

good tools for rachael to use in this matchup

  1. winded batpoles, particulary B batpole
    if you forward wind a B batpole it will go to about the spacing a v-13 generally needs to keep you out. So if they did 5D, D ( instant block the 2nd D) and you should be able to qcf B+D, and if v-13 tried to go for something after that it should counterhit, which will allow you to activate batpole and link , and then you go in for the kill.

  2. Pumpkin is your best friend, has about the same use, but not as much hit stun as what I posted above.

needless to say, getting a counterhit batpole + activate gives your more than enough time to get in.

Alternatively, if your feeling balsy. You could just 6D your self way up in the screen and drop in at an angle she can’t anti air you at. or empty jump, block

yea I wrote all that crap in about 30 seconds. Being able to type 130 ish wpm is helpful.

The ragna in that video basically took her health from full to zero once he got her in the corner. >_> Without her in danger state either. Not until near the end anyway.

Dora’s bang is awesome.

Umm… where exactly? Almost all the hits were becuase Dora was trying to get closer, not because of mixups. A regular throw isn’t a very reliable mixup tool in this game. It only works “out of the blue” and you can’t abuse it in “50-50 mixup situations” where the opponent can expect and react to it.
Also 2147D doesn’t seem to be giving a combo on hit, so yeah I’m still saying her mixups suck.

mix that in with she can backdash after her pressure makes her practically safe
leaving gaps in her pressure strings making it look unsafe netted Inoue free hits vs Dora almost the whole game
her close game is not terrible by far :sad:

I’m just saying you can really get used reacting to blocking her overheads high, and getting ready to escape a throw on reaction when she dashes in. Players are already doing that. The only problem is getting close to her and getting that life lead, but once you do that, you have a huge advantage over her.

2147D can be RC’ed into a combo but doesn’t combo in and of itself I do not believe

Almost everything can turn into a combo with an RC that you can’t hit confirm… It still doesn’t make for a good mixup option.

she can fake the overhead lulz and go for a low and reset the situation if you block the low

She can’t fake the overhead and go for the low because the timing is different.
In the video you posted inoue tries it twice in a row and failed, because dora stands for the overhead timing and then crouches for the land->low timing.

And yeah Bang has maybe the best mixup game in BB, with (probably) the best overhead and the only command throw besides Tager buster.

now that the game has been out a bit, and more people have had a chance to play it, are there any more good tips people can add to this topic?

sorry if v-13 people think they are being treated unfairly but i don’t think this game needs to have people being turned off just because of one character america will NEVER softban as long as their mouths are attached to other countries’ nuts :slight_smile:

Eh, I know that she’s a bit overpowered, though not overly so except for one or two matchups.

I’m just wondering why there’s so much attention on her when arakune and rachel need just as much of a look, only with rachel a little less so.
