So I finally decided to download the SubZero Live episodes. Here’s list of videos for my own reference (and anyone who’s interested) when I get to a place with fast internet:
Edit: Apparently, you can only download videos in 2 hours blocks from twitch. I’m going to do some research on how to get the other “missing” parts.
I feel like whenever I pick Dud over Alex I have to chase the other guy down a lot more (even if they’re not using Chun or Yun) and if I throw out a poke when they want to zone I do it at the worst possible times. They have like reverse Yomi or some shit. Where I hit stHP or stHK and that’s when they go for a low forward or EX Hadou or something very random. So I find myself playing their retarded footsie game while I build up meter where I can push their shit in or try to jump in on them.
Whereas if I pick Alex they don’t try to runaway nearly as much and I have an easier time using his pokes to footsie and get in there.
I don’t think it’s matchup experience so much as the other guy will play pretty differently depending on who they fight regardless of player skill. And people zone and go ham on Dudley even though Dud is scarier than Alex.
Also, I’ve set the dummy to random block (Dreamcast version… Yeah I know) and I feel like my reaction time isn’t getting any better but I’m just adjusting to the CPU’s random block pattern.
I do that shit too. Like you’ll get into a groove and you just get a feeling the CPU won’t block the next one and you just cancel into super without confirming at all. For me walking back and forth for 2-3 seconds helps clear my mind and reset myself.

need to refresh your mind or you get stuck on path and tricked into seeing things that aren’t happening. start to think you’re ‘feeling’ stuff that isn’t there.
I feel like I’m limited to what I can practice too with the dummy set to random block. All I’ve been doing with Alex is jHP, MK, Flash combos and if they block I do jHP, stLP, and either stHP or throw. That and stMK into SA2 and jHP pressure (like jHP and another jHP and if it hits land an SA2). I feel like I’m missing something.
