Isn’t Ogre a PERFECT opportunity for Gen to fulfil his fight to the death? Not even going to mention the whole new cast of fighters to meet along the way. What if Akuma and Gen paired up just to make sure they get to battle Ogre before everyone else!? EPIC

Gen is very important for the background of the street fighter series… but Capcom doesn’t care at all about the fluff anymore. I know it’s not that important in a fighting game but… some of the couple of characters in SFxT are ridiculous. Bison and Juri (enemies in SF4)? Ibuki and Rolento (so many reasons why they makes no sense at all together)?
Its all bout the money amigos, its all about the money, maybe if we shout loud enough we will get a Gen DLC.

Hey guys, I just saw the hacked video of SFxT showing Lei Wulong and, albeit it seems a bit a caricature, it indeed has various stances and some Gen-like moves. For the first time I’m a bit excited for this game…but these characters will be released (paying) probably in autumn, according to rumours…
lol, Gen is sitting at the bottom of the list at 2.44%, beat out even by Hakan at 3.49%. I guess this means we can give up any hope of him being in TxSF.
On a different note, it seems like the SF cast were voted by their coolness factor, with Akuma, Evil Ryu, Urien, Alex and Q sitting at the top. On the other hand, the Tekken cast were seemingly voted by dicks… I mean literally as in the love shaft. Those sitting at the top are Askua, Alisa, Lili, Kunimitsu and Jun. They’re all women lol. Other high scorer is Jin and his devil alt, which makes sense since he’s like the “Ryu” of Tekken or something.

Hello, we must learn to adapt, at least we have a mixup character, May not be Gen but still close in terms of footsie. He will be released as DLC as soon as they want to, till then I play AE
I’m watching a lot of videos and… no. I won’t get this game anytime soon… Maybe it’s me but I find it too colorful, too flashy (in a bad sense) and chaotic. Plus, I’ve never been a fan of long juggles in 2d fighters. I guess I’ll take it when it gets bargain price AND it has all characters unlocked (this matter regarding the other 12 characters being finished but unavailable till AUTUMN actually upsets me a bit).
I guess I’ll stick to Gen and SSF4 for long time…
Gen’s gekiro itself has a pretty long juggle duration.
I was skeptical about the game, but I realized it’s actually rly fun after I sat down and played. Still not buying it tho :lol:
Playing Xiaoyu was cool cuz I could finally cancel normals into stance change. However, she is different from Gen since her normals actually suck in terms of range etc. I would say she is closer to Chin from KOF + sweep purely for AA.
SFxT is looks ridiculously sparkly even when characters are not moving. Portraits and health bars have this electrical flames going on. Stages and characters are too colorful and the game has overall high contrast.
When characters starts fighting, it’s even worse. Every hit creates a flashy explosion. EX moves has shinier glow. Throws and launchers creates unnecessary camera movement. And when a gem is activated the characters have a constant colorful glow.
So you are not the only one!
It looks like the game can be fun with it’s weird juggle mechanics but might get boring after some time. Like PC mods.
Everyone has different taste of course.
SFxT is a good game, maybe even a great game. You don’t really notice all the garish sparkles when you’re playing.
The absence of Gen is painful though. Game could really use him- the Street Fighter side of the cast has the more solid mechanics but comes of as simplistic compared to the Tekken roster. The Tekken half meanwhile finds a good chunk of its complexity marred by having so many options that a large number of them end up either being redundant or objectively bad. The only truly useless attack Gen has is Crane st.lk.
Worst part is that Gen is a natural fit for the system given the number of juggle combos he has in this game.
