gen made me a meter maniac. whiffing those close ogga’s and empty hands. I’ve been playing a lot of dan recently and man is it hard t realise that super for him means nothing. lol.

I wonder if there are still undiscovered things about Gen

I feel that every ultra animation showcases the strongest tools or strategy that each character has.
When I see mantis U1 I cant help to think of cr.hp and mantus super.

there are many things his U1 points to, matis cMP cHP, super, crane cMP
gotta remind myself to play online more often.
was getting bopped by this bum guy player who was just doing stuff
im not much for grinding points, but online does keep you up to speed on match ups
Ranked just teaches you the Seth + Cammy matchup.
Plus Oga is the most broken tool ever online.

If you play on PC Ranked teaches you the Dictator matchup.
Lol, I play on PC, i’ll add you, let’s play.
No, I agree with Yeb now. I realize those combos are already good damage without the meter. Don’t get me wrong, I was never a big FADC fanatic, but it was just some food for thought at the time. But yes, cr.mp hands into super is WAY more threatening than adding a tiny bit of damage, unless you’re styling on some people who aren’t real competition anyways.
I went to UCC this weekend, real fun ‘major’ but there were some things I started to realize. First off, doing a hit-confirm into hands, THEN super/ultra is a waste. It is so scaled after the hitconfirm making it pathetic.
Another thing useful about super that SO many players don’t realize is it almost completely shuts down safe jumps.
Wolfkrone bodied me in the tourney but I did get some good extended sets with him later to work on that matchup. Landed the soft unblockable oga on him a good 2 or 3 times; good to know that even great Vipers don’t really know about that.

Lolz, why would they know about it? We are SSF4AE assassins
they have nothing on us.
IMHO oga super ultra is the best use of meter lol

Go in training mode
move the cpu to the left corner
Set cpu to jump
Step back
Jump forward and use either j.lk, j.lp, or j.mp (mantis)
Just before they hit the ground,
Press any of the folowing
St.lk, st.mk, st.hk, st.mp, st.hp, cr.mk, cr.hp
I have been trying to reproduce a result where a reversal would not auto correct after this…
some new ideas on guile with cross Oga Setups

cool setup if only the people I play dont have godlike reactions.
Hi folks, I don’t normally post here but I figured this would be a good place to ask.
My fingers tend to stick when I slide my inputs and I’ve tried washing my hands before matches, keeping them in my pockets and wiping down my stick but none of it seems to really help… which is a problem when I’m relying on sliding during a tournament. Do any of you have to deal with this, and what do you do to prevent it?

buy pool gloves
use lint-free cloth to wipe your buttons and the stick.

had a terribly long set with a chunli player and sheesh the guy doesnt know when to give up, first was 29-8, then 43-20 and 53-25 all in my favor, sheeeeeeeesh! but damn chun-li is very annoying to play against, and today I have confirmed that FADC combos are not super useful to Gen, I lost count of how many super to ultra finishes. so guys if you are new to gen, build that meter and then let it rip.
I also used mantis super as anti air and it works well too due to the long invincibility of the move, and ultra 1(mantis) can be used as AA but similar to honda ultra.
st.mp>tc2>gekiro or tc2>gekiro are probably the most reliable punishes if you dont want to blow meter.
Ex.Gekiro or hands are his best wakeup options although you’re better off just blocking.
Cr.HP, Gekiro and st.mp are also viable anti-air options.
