What character? for it to be the full roll there had to have been some weirdness somewhere with hitboxes. the final hit has four active frames, so if it hit really meaty for whatever reason you’d end up with +4 on the end.
What’s your psn? I have no idea who you are but whenever you want to knock me around again just add me the psn is the screenname. Perhaps you think Im someone else have no idea who you are.
Pretty much everyone. It’s harder to hit on Dan though.
I think CH Roll (last hit) HP Hands only works on certain characters. I was able to get it to work on Gief, but not DeeJay.
CH Roll (Last hit) s.Jab works on almost everyone. I haven’t tested it on everyone.
Hey, any Gen players care to add me on PSN/XBL (Xgrayninja/LikeThisOneTime) so that I can understand this matchup better? Lost to a Gen player in singles at NEC. All things considered I don’t think it was an awful performance on my part, but I feel like if I only knew the matchup better I might not have lost. Regardless, I’d really appreciate getting some games in with another competent Gen.
lol you lost to me!
well i think it was me. supposedly there was some older asian guy there who used gen. but ididnt see it. hey the hint to beating me is knowin gall the lyrics and dance moves to "party rock anthem"
allow me to guide you my son.
notice yipes in the video without his hat.
in all seriousness if you are the vega i beat understand the following. I am a weird gen. my style doesn’t match the others. and you saw me drinking the whole time. learning to defend against any of that is a waste of your time and is best learned on the fly. try to find redwolfx. hes a gen with good execution and makes little mistakes. if you can hang with him you should be able to smash most of them.

lol i never noticed this. i just recently smashed you in today after you eeked out a lucky win when i was (admittingly was a bit cold and trolling a tad.) i didnt even say anything to you yet you sent some trash talk msg again . smashed you ruthlessly and easily after that. very lopsided. proceeded to invite you to the replay room to show you the finale of some old ft5 since you said we never played. a ft5 of which i went 5-0 on you and perfected you more than once. I saved it cause you were talking trash before and still havent learned your lesson it seems. yet you didnt wanna see it. idk man id like to see someone whoop my arse like that. maybe id learn something.
anyway a gen player shouldn’t be gimicked by other gen players either. how do i gimmick you one round and just outplay you at every move the next? dont be so rude online man. i troll but at least im nice.
does the party rock anthem shuffle
mirror match proves a better gen? o_O
i get gimicked all the time when i play a gen mirror. how often do you really get to fight against gen anyway?
the gen mirror match is ridiculously fun, I dont get why so many people hate it.
I don’t like it the Gen mirror match that much because most Gens that want to play me aren’t solid they rely on too many ogas and jump a lot. And usually when that happens their connection isn’t the best to AAing them on reaction isn’t fun.
Also being “out there” you get a lot of challenges to see if they are better than you, or they just want the chance to play you to learn something. So 70% of the people who PM me to play are Gen players. Personally I have the attention span of a condom.
But that’s just online. Really I could care less who is the best Gen as long as mine is solid. I like competition within the Gen community, but leveling each other up is more important to me. Beating other players is more important to me.
IMO I don’t think you could just look at who wins a FT5 to prove who is the better Gen. An example is this:
Two Gen players play in multiple tournaments. This tournament always has pro players in it. One Gen(A) player always does really well vs top players, and the other Gen(B) always gets bodied by them and never does well. Because they both play in the same amount of tournaments both have had the same amount of chances to bring up their win/loss ratio and generally play the same amount of skill level vs their worst and best match-ups.
So in short, both Gen’s have had multiple and the same amount of chances to do better, but only one Gen(A) does good and the other Gen(B) no matter what always does bad.
Now, these same two Gen’s play a FT5. The one Gen(B) who always loses in tournament happens to win this FT5.
Does this make the Gen(B) who always does bad in multiple tournaments a better Gen?
Personally I say no it doesn’t. Now if that bad Gen(B) started to play better in tournament play after this FT5 than it’s certain he turned his game around and got better. But if Gen(B) continues to do horrible while Gen(A) still performs better that it’s still obvious that Gen(A) is better.
That’s my little rant. And FYI HNIC Mike that was just my opinion, I wasn’t arguing vs you.
yeah, i know. mirror means shit. its one match up, and it happens to be the most rare match up in the game. rare to the point i dont think theres any real point in learning it.
if i have to fight a gen in a tourney, i’ll counter pick with fei before i learn it
w
okay so better gen players should be voted on what? who gets the furthest in a major in a time period? cant be that. cause that would possibly be me?
i dont think im the best. As for gimicking him a few times; I personally feel you shouldn’t be caught too much with your own stuff unless you are crimson viper. cause all gens gimicks leave you open for tons and tons of punishment. Overall if you cant handle your own stuff you are either
1.Rusty
or
2.Cold handed
or
3. Not good
or
4. some combination of that all
And I wasnt trying to start this whole abortion is murder debate here. just pointing out a rude person who lies and sends ya insane messages. just dont appreciate the lying. now let us all relax and roll in… no… EX roll into the future!
oh and hnic I fight gen a lot. same reason messiah says he does. I also dislike it a bit. but just for the first few seconds til i see which kind of gen ill be playing. but there are quite a few players (keeping it amongst gen players) who are on the top 10 or so list and they definitely dip out on ranked matches against people they dont think they can beat. personally Ill find someone i lose to and fight them til they get offline. even if i only win one ill keep doing it. demolishes my points. Which is why i never brag about them like some weirdos do as if it 100% matters.
I have no beef with any players that I beat or lose to first and foremost… I won’t even dignify whatever drama you think we have with a response. Hope you got it out of your system peace.
In the matchup versus Ken using crouching hard kick as an anti air isn’t recommended… I had complete control over a match and antiaired with cr. hardkick and got a counter hit dragon punch fadced to ultra in between the recovery framessmh… it took over 60% of my life. That was a salty lost. Use cr punch instead if you can it’d be smarter.
it counts as a response if you send it to me via pm dude.
but for prosperity.
First thing I want to test out is c.HK and see if its a huge risk anymore. It never worked how it LOOKED it should work. I couldn’t stand looking at a situation and going… oh yeah let me knock this fool out of the… why is this trading… oh yeah let me knock this fool out of the… why am i getting hit for over half my health. I mean i can easily AA with other characters with some normal of theirs. I sadly overall have more luck with gens crouching Mantis fierce OR its standing strong. which honestly makes no damn sense.
Sorry I’ve been away for so long guys! Been playing too much marvel and dropped AE until 2012. I spent some time in training mode once the patch dropped, and I’m actually super excited about the buffs. Expect to see me at wnf again soon, azndude and Cain.
In any case, I body all of you except nubbb.
What is more important to be thinking about when you decide to say do an FADC combo and not doing one?
Damage or scalling? …
mirror match doesn’t tell you who the better Gen/Player of the character is, but who is the better player. In a mirror match, each opponent has access to the exact same set of tools, so the only up a player may have is access to different technology (i.e. a cross-up oga setup you weren’t aware of). So all else equal (e.g. good connex, functioning controller), when you lose in a mirror, it’s generally because you were outplayed whether it be gimmicks or footsies.
And I play balrog, so i know about annoying mirrors. I think the biggest hump in the mirror match is getting over the fact that you’re annoyed, and developing a mindset from the perspective of playing your character, versus playing as your character since this is the ONLY match where you have to do that.
I played Dante Valmont some mirrors a long time ago and I might have won once, doubt it though.
my key against mirror matches with gen is as follows
"its gen. no super… dont respect. smash him in"
greetings fellow gen players. had to take a break from my morning training to deliver a public service announcement
that dude coldviper who comes in here sometimes is a complete ass.
we played a few months back in a gen mirror, and he won. dudes gen is actually pretty good. but anyway he enters my lobby today with gouken and loses like 3 of 4 matches to my fei. like the matches arent even close. he plays me with his gen and we split 2. GGs right.
nope. he comes back with gouken for a few more losses. i figure hes trying to level up, so i keep playing him. after like his 3rd loss as gouken, he comes back in with gen and literally yells and cusses at me for 2 straight rounds. which he won by the way. what can i say, his gen is nice, and i havent played that match as fei more than 5 times in my life
then i ask him lol why u mad tho? he sends me what im sure is a profanity laced response that i delete without listening to. what a jackass
anyway avoid that prick coldviper. grade A ass hat
Eh? Name? XBL or PSN? US or EU?
Edit: oh, you meant coldviper18 or something. I thought u meant someone who plays Viper… Stupid me!
yup.
id never be a dick to any of you guys from here.
