umm so yeah someone put up the ending for this game and wow just wow. I’m not even mad watching it. I more so want to see how it gets to that point though.

I’m still gonna roll with my Double barrel no matter how many people complained about it, and use my nerfed gold Retro lancer since it was the only rifle that worked for me. Hammy wasn’t pulling through when I played the beta.
I’m gonna quit vanilla mvc3 once Gears is dropped. Gears is my first love. Also I’m gonna mess around online and try to record some montage clips.
The only issue I had with the sawed-off was the fucking radius of the shot. How you could hit people like 90 degrees to your left and right and get some ridiculous and undeserved double/triple kills. Everything else is fine.
The Retro Lancer was the bullshit gun IMO. But it wasn’t terribly over the top.

I got into Gears 1 but I was late on playing Gears 2 “online” since I got my 3rd 360 kinda late when majority of the people left for other 360 games.
I don’t wanna see no more crab-walks or overpower shotty’s.
That was the reason I liked it because it was an easy way to get rid of one person who’s dumb enough to get too damn close. The same with ppl who complain about melee’s. If you’re too close, no reason why I shouldn’t go for the two-piece. Then when you’re having a clutch moment and the whole team rushes in for the kill, you splatter 2 in one shot if they bunch up. I wish I recorded my beta gameplay. I loved clutching with the Sawed-off.
Retro did too much damage, I agree. I remember blindfiring mid-distance on a guy with a gnasher and I downed him before he could shoot 2 shells.
I agree the SO should punish people who get too close. But when you are 90 degrees to either side and get blown up that is ridiculous

It’s what gears is all about, those close range shotgun battles. And it was near impossible to see if someone was using the SO or the gnasher. If they gave the sawed off a light or something to set it apart from the gnasher then fair enough. IMO the SO is still just a crutch for bad players (no offense) it takes 0 skill to use the damn gun. At least with the gnasher you have know how to aim (its damn easy mode compared to the other 2 GoW games) They can both gib people from about the same range and the gnasher is just alot more effective to clutch with if you have a half decent aim.
And about the retro that gun was just OP hope they nerfed the shit out of that thing. Personally I liked the hammerburst the most, it can down people FAST from almost any range as long as your aim is solid.
No offence taken. I got a lot of hate mail during the beta days. I’m still solid with the gnasher, but I prefer the SO because of how fast you can kill someone and not having to spend more time in case you down someone with the gnasher. Also because it was near impossible to miss from close range due to its very WIDE range. The way I view it is mostly for when I’m outnumbered and I finally get my 1v1 and I take care of him quickly and move on to the next guy. The retro is just another multi-purpose gun that I like because it can down 2 ppl with one clip.(I think that’s not possible anymore due to the dmg nerf). I play like a scrub in gears, but if people online are scrub killers then I shouldn’t be doing so well.
The Gnasher is a much better weapon than the SO as far as im concerned. The SO just had some serious bullshit properties to it. I shouldn’t be able to kill someone 90 degrees to my left that I wasn’t even trying to aim at.
The Retro was a straight up n00b weapon. Jennifer Lopez could get 20 kills in a match with the Retro.

Gnasher is much better than SO if you can’t see that you’re retarded. Vs an organized team you’re not going to get many kills with SO and they will take advantage of it’s horrendous reload time.

Gnasher is close range but the SO you can run in and save you team members ass when its many vs 1 with its WIDE burst
Gnasher was just sketchy to me in the beta… I hit many opponents but there were a lot of times that the shots didnt hit! I unno
…you’re aware you can only choose 1 right? when against a good team 9/10 times players are going to choose gnasher.
Yea but that’s their prerogative. They have another slot to fix a weapon that fills a different role to.
