Ok yeah… I’m starting to think that solo Horde becomes literally impossible when/if you get to a boss wave that has Berserkers, unless you’re talking about having a Super Reload mutator active or something like that. I tried my solo “Focus on Silverback” game-plan on Clocktower earlier…unfortunately it happened; the game threw Berserkers at me for the first boss wave! Oddly enough, I couldn’t get past the Corpser boss wave either, though I had no trouble with that on Slab. Anyway, the game took pity on me and gave me a Brumak eventually, which was easily killed by Silverback firepower. I was over by one of the spawn areas on the edge of the map, of course… from the area with the truck and the Silverback spawn point, this area is on the left. Unfortunately it’s possible for the enemies up top to simply throw a grenade over the wall to get ya…they eventually got me with that on around wave 17… Hardcore difficulty… I was actually rooted in place so the SB wasn’t able to get up fast enough, and I probably would not have been able to get out fast enough. Heh, I decided to try out the Onyx Guard Decoy-Bot again on this map, since the decoy spawn is close to this area. He was alright for awhile, then that dummy ran out into the thick of the action, and of course he was killed quickly. I wasn’t about to run out there to save that fool.
What’s up with the character-select glitch bullshit? There’s hardly any point in letting me select my character when the game just decides for me that “no, you’re Marcus Fenix again because I say so.” Who the hell would even pick Marcus in Horde anyway? I keep trying to play with Recruit Clayton or certain other characters and the game still randomly puts me in as Marcus…no multiplayer; this was solo Horde earlier today.

SB in insane isn’t worth it thought… bullets eat right through it.
and Ill run must active, some other hard one, and super re-load, lol… still get a 5% loss (or something) but it ofsets with the difficulty of insane

I LOVE THE NEW MAPS. I absolutely LOATHE the fact they just gave some bullshit “Recruit Clayton” the ACTUAL lines of Anthony “fucking bessss” Carmine.
I am more salty about it than I can express.
Also I re-up’d, climbing the mountain again is kinda fun but the knowledge of knowing how retardedly long it gets to level up once you hit the upper 70’s is slowly creeping up on me.
There’s a glitch to get the 2nd re-up for free. If you have a level 100 hundred and intentional get yourself reset by switching profiles while online, you just recover gamertag to get your 100 back and when you re-up it skips the 1st “prestige” and starts you in the 2nd one. I haven’t done it but I’ve seen red numbers online as early as 6 days after Fenix Rising released. Hopefully they get banned.
This game is still clicking for me. KOF13 has recently destroyed any chance of any other game getting play time except UMvC3 and Gears 3.
I have been getting a surprising amount of experience points just from Horde (heh, good thing since I only occasionally play Team Deathmatch, and even then that’s just a “quick match” here and there mostly for experience points and ribbons/medals progression, War Supporter medal, etc.) Anyway, I’m level 60 at this point…close to 61.
I did another session on The Slab yesterday with only the Silverback out there in the exercise yard area again…made it to level 20 (once again, I got lucky by getting the lambent Gunkers as the boss wave on 10…soooo easy on The Slab with the SB out in the exercise yard) then died carelessly to a Corpser as Drones were rushing in…heh, I should’ve known it was a bad idea to stay in the SB… I was thinking I could possibly kill it before the shit really hit the fan with all those things rushing into the area. One more purchase of SB will give me the level 3 missile upgrade now.
although the 3rd person view looks nice the fact that you can hide behind walls and see around them at the same time makes the game feel somewhat less competetive. I’ve only played GOW3 twice and that was a while ago so i’m probably wrong.
You can also tell your other teammates where the other team is if you died by using the ghost cam to look around the map. That and what you said really dont make the game less competitive. The game is easily one of the best competitive games on XBL.
Horde is boring… dont really find it fun to shoot the computer for 3 hours over and over. Would rather play against human competition. Just like fighting games… dont want to play arcade mode over and over.
Ranked execution has been unforgiving lately. Can only find matches against clans with above 2.0 K/Ds (which is really good for Ranked Execution) and like above 15.0 W/Ls.
I need to find a team soon. Getting spit up and chewed out with randoms. I am getting better though by getting my ass kicked in Ranked Execution. I got to play Quick Team Deathmatch and it is like a vacation. I could play that mode in a coma the competition is that much shittier.
I finally sat down and played through Raam’s Shadow. Was definitely good stuff. I’m going to try to put Gears back in my rotation of games after a small hiatus.
The scorcher became the best weapon in the game for a short time, literally would down people in less than 2 seconds. They brought it back down.
Also, they put back stopping power on retro and hammerburst. And according to CliffyB’s twitter Overpass has been removed from the online rotation, only temporary.
I’ve spent the past 2 weeks boosting for Golden Hunter (for shame, I know, I just hate 99% of locust skins, and made a goal for myself), I’m 600 lancer kills from getting it hopefully will have it tomorrow then back to my grind for 100.
Surprisingly, I play smarter now when I go online, instead of retardedly…
Is your friends list still open? I’ll add you if you want. I’m usually down to run some execution if we have a full party. I’ve got plenty of people to play with so we usually can scrape together five people. If not, we usually just mess around in KOTH working on wall-bouncing/shotgun stuffs.
