I never said it was hard. It’s hard compared to Call of Duty and takes alot more skill. GoW and Halo players can pick up CoD and own at it. The same can’t be said for CoD players.
In any case, cluckshot is weird. I didn’t like it very much. Or maybe it was because I couldn’t find anyone who was willing to play it with me. My live stream recorded it so maybe I’ll post it later.
There is one thing that really bugs me about co-op campaign. If your not playing as Marcus, the game always spawns you with horrible weapons. There’s nothing like fighting off lambent humans on Insane with a Hammerburst and a Longshot. Even when you get some good weapons, when you hit the next chapter, you go back to Hammerburst/Sawed Off/Longshot. That part in Act 4 when your in the building waiting for the elevator and you get bum rushed by formers, that shit was brutal.
Clocktower is a favorite of mine so I’m ecstatic it’s back. They removed the cover in the grenade spawn, which will prevent camping in there I guess(and in gears 1 we could not tag walls with frags so I imagine they thought it would be a problem in 3). They removed the two parallel sandbag covers at the top and put a boomshield in it’s place. But that’s just a small change really. The pathway to Boomshot was shorten a bit, was never a factor in gears 1 but cool I guess. It was kinda weird spawning in the map for the first time and having my mind project the old poster that was plastered on the wall in Gears 1.
Bullet Marsh was never a favorite of mine but the changes help it out a lot. They homogenized the kryll killboxes so now they’re visible when the lights are out, I noticed they put a KoTH point in all 3 areas the kryll get into so that’ll be interesting. They moved the boomshot to the torque bow spawn and now grenades are in the middle building, the lower path now has ink spawns so I guess that’ll help promote people to go there(Never really bothered to go down there in Gears 1 ever). I really like the slopes they made to connect the lower path with the middle building which will cut down on the time wasted chasing after a runner.
Funny I just saw that dance video a couple days ago cause I was playing a match and the other team started dancing while my last team mate was hiding, so I searched for vids. Shit had me rolling.
I played a bunch last night and the boomshot situation happened to me a lot.

Super annoying.
Also, if anyone is playing and needs people to play with, me and a friend are alway looking to get someone in the party chat to play with us. We tried inviting people who we were matched up with us that had a mic, but 90% of them were severely maladjusted or downright stupid. It’s usually just me and my friend but sometimes we get 3 or 4 people, never reaching that 5th member.
How many shotty’s did this man take to the body? Nobody should be taking boomshots at all. That’s almost like some Goldeneye 64 run through the rocket stuff. Has there been any explaination yet on how this happens? Epic will hopefully fix it.
I don’t know…this man took a shotgun point blank in the face and just brushed it off. And that could still be in the realm of possibility but then the boomshots? no…Epic will have to come up with another explanation for that.
Add me, fernandooooo
Ill be playing a lot tomorrow and for the weekend… If you get on, Ill switch games…
Dude(s) this game is awesome…
wish I never picked up mw3 and stuck with this… this game is so fun outside of the weapons lagging here and there.
DLC is awesome, played one chapter and can’t wait to play it
we neeeeeeed to beat it 4-5 people on
my bad about bailing on the last time but im in for this go around
Beat RAAM. The pacing is wonky (10ft then awesome is the formula here) but the attempt at making it feel more Gears 1 like is commended. Not to mention a good job is done of mixing in different enemies at different points. And of course playing as RAAM is baller but the lack of his patented troika gun stings a little. I really need to play this with others as I’d like to try out SUPER ELITE’s sawed off bayonet and Reflective Shields.
Oh and awesome boss fights await you in this DLC. I’m certainly left wanting more COG/Locust adventures.
Considering how the first King Raven encounter went…
A boss fight for RAAM would have to be against a damn Centaur Tank driven by Dom and Jack the robot.
Raam’s future
[details=Spoiler] Because of how badly injured Raam was in the end I can see why he decides to pick up a gun by Gears 1. Fuck all that being defenseless ish when Gears are shooting at you.
I think what could have made this dlc thematically better is the inclusion of actual people running for their lives. While everything in the city is mostly intact it still looks like a damn ghost town and I would have loved to see civies (including children like at the orphanage). [/details]
