Well, I’m level 47 right now, and I’ve caved in and started playing Ben Carmine until Anthony is available. Now I’m starting to like Ben a lot, he’s actually the closest thing Gears has to Han Solo.
Yeah that’s right.
He’s the only character that shows real emotions in the situations he’s in, such as fear and panic, when you’re playing the game. He isn’t pumped like the rest of them are when shit is going down. He isn’t going “NOOOICE” after an active reload, he isn’t screaming “WOOOO” anytime he lands headshots. In Multiplayer you can hear him whimpering when he’s behind cover and shots are zooming past his head. When he fucks up a reload he’s in genuine terror that a locust could kill him before he fixes it. And those moments really ground this dude for me, he is the only relatable character in these games. Too bad they decided making some tradition(that they didn’t even continue in gears 3) more important and killed him off.
Oh and Commando Dom looks like he was in Space Vietnam or some shit and probably suffers from PTSD. Kinda funny.

Once (If) they release Skorge for DLC he will be my dude for Kantus. Everyone will be playing the armored kantus and RAAM once they come out.
I played Ben since gow2 exclusivly. His humanity when compared to most others is actually refreshing and legit. It just makes him seem human (This is for you Anthony.). But hes not some kind of pussy, hes just realistic. He still gets hyped (LETS DO THIS!!! Shit yeah!)and has his fair share of one-liners (Ohhhh yeah, hes toast! And stay down!) And the only reason he even died was because of his inexperience, which is because he was just thrown into the war. He wasnt overly reckless or cowardly. finally he was definitly a big part of Delta Squad. He went through quite a lot with them and fought alongside the original 4. Marcus even promised he’d avenge him and give his mom+brothers his letter. and he still wears his tags.
I’m not switching to bitch ass Anthony when I hit lvl 75. Dude was a straight scrub. He just has cool armor.
I just want Anthony because I’ve always played him since forever. Just feels kinda wrong to stop that now.
Ben is definitely the most interesting one.

Skill wise obv, Bacon wise obv, but I still like Ben the most.
Besides, the whole no sleeves thing bugs me. And the fact that Clayton looks all swole and shit but he still talks like his brothers, lol
I like Ben and Anthony better than Clayton. Clayton doesn’t seem like a Carmine too me. I always liked Carmine because he was just a random guy who didn’t look like he injects himself with horse steroids and screams all day.
Most of the cast are actually pretty spot on with some of the things I would say in the same situation if my gun jammed like that. I enjoy that greatly because both me and my character are cursing at the same time.
Anthony is the best imo. His trashtalking in Gears 1 MP was godlike and hilarious.

Still my favorite MP character atm is griffin. He just looks sick and he’s talking shit nonstop. Sometimes I mix it up with Superstar Cole though. SWAG!
I just hate griffin for being an obvious blade ripoff and a complete asshat in the campaign. Ice T as a voice actor sucks too.
Can’t hate on superstar Cole as anything Cole is godlike and Superstar pretty much means you are godlike. I will still take Classic Cole though as my favorite.
