While the dialog is bad/hilarious, the plot I found to be moderately intresting, as little of it as there was. I want to know more damnit =/

Feels like imulsion is it’s own entity since after that one lambent died the imulsion left it and went to another one. I could see why the queen would want to get rid of that if that was the case. Won’t know for sure till Gears 3 though.
On a multiplayer note, I never really experienced too many chainsaws but today I managed to get some territories in which has infinite respawns and I experimented. One guy charged with his saw revved at a teammate and even though I was shooting him with a lancer and he was about 10 feet away from him he didn’t even flinch for about 5 feet or so. 0.o That’s crazy and really needs to be patched. At least I know what you guys are talking about now.

For the record, I hate the matchmaking shit. Last night was a bust…
Got people on, played about 3-4 rounds on Day One (nice stage); got slaughtered. There was NO lag at all, had ppls from SRK (I think Sc00t and Zoolander). Both of them dipped afterwards.
Went public to pick up some people (needed one) and that shit was laggy as hell. I upped and left after the first wave. One dude killed everyone (who is probably the one lagging everyone else)
So then Onyx comes up (sup man) and we wait…and wait and finally get a game going. After the first 2 waves I am walking by myself and everyone drops…Fuck they need to fix this shit.
^Glad to see I’m not the only one seeing people get randomly dropped from servers.
My experience tells me it depends on who the games server (randomly) selects to host the game. Definately a fixable issue that needs fixing.
It randomly picks? I thought if I host then I am the host?!? I’ve ran games with no lag at all with SRK peeps, but when you get that random person (now that I look, I think they were from England!) it goes to shit:mad:
I was playing for a while last night too and two games dropped before me and R l C were actually able to finish a couple games. We were thinking that maybe it’s like Halo were the server picks a random host and if he or she starts lagging or drops out then the server fails or something like that.

Yes, in Public matches the server randomly picks a host. You can’t have two hosts in a game. Essentially when you host a room and search for games, your competition is doing the same thing. When a party is finally connected for a match, there can’t be two hosts.
GOW2 is besically running a matchmaking system that mimics Halo 2’s. The reason why it’s hard to find games is because people are searching for games with teams of 3-4 and so on. The problem is other people are doing the same exact thing. So it takes so ong becasue the server has to find you either two single players or a team of 2 people.
With Halo most people would jump on and just start searching for games by themselves. That’s not the case with GOW2. So for now the best wa to get games going is by searching by yourself or searching with a 4-5 man team.
This only works once.

I really liked the multiplayer game. We played as a unit and pwned the other guys. I’ve only been playing gears for 2-3 weeks and look forward to improve my game with you guys.
