Besides break moves is there another way of canceling?
I ask because i’ve seen one of Kain’s gaurd crush strings
where he’ll link a standing C to a d.AB,
and Kevin where he’ll combo a standing C to a crouching C,
something I can’t seem to do.
It’s called feint cancel (f + A+C or d + A+C) everyone has different normals that they can feint cancel whether it’s block or on hit. The only character that can’t feint cancel is Grant but everyone else has usually all or some of their normals they can feint cancel. Even d + A+B can be feint cancelled but on hit only, not if it is blocked. The way it works is lets say with Kevin you do stand + C you can cancel out of his recovery from the hit into either f + A+C or d +A+C feints. If you do it right he should go into his feint animation, then you can cancel into another normal attack right when that happens. I hope this helps you out.

Sometimes the Hien-zan combos sometimes it doesn’t…
I guess it depends how far you are and how fast you make the Hienzan… If you hit your jump D too early (in the head) you might land a bit further than if you hit later and kick the belly, ie. If you use D for the Hien zan, it’ll be a bit slower than the B version too.
