Currently Howard Arenas got a list thats something like this:
Gato
Jenet
Grant
kevin
Jae Hoon
Dong hwan
Kain
Marco/Butt
Terry
Hotaru/Freeman(tied)
Hokutomaru
Rock Howard
The griffon/TIzoc
IIRC though they work offa their player base and how they do with em (so a great rock would raise his standing)
Man I should keep this as my sig :P-
Garou doesn’t actually have tiers; each character can handle any other character just fine, however you can consider ranking them based on how you play, though despite that if ur not good with Hokutomaru and rank him lower than there can be someone else who is an expert with Hokutomaru and can beat u easily (possibly).
Oh and I found a rather intersting Freeman combo-
Anywhere: Jumping :snkc:/:snkd:–>:d:+:snka::snkb:-Feint->Crouching :snkc:–>:qcf::qcf:+:p:
the qcb+K, B is not a break move, it’s a move that causes a spinning juggle state, like Grant’s df+C. You can do them repeatedly, but they are so slow that you will be connecting them lower and lower each time, evem with perfect timing, so it’s very limited how many you can do, and sloppy execution limits it even more.
The trick to gettign a bunch done, other than doing then as fast as you can, is to start it with the opponent as high up in the air as you can get. Starting off with a counter hit, braked, dp+K is probably the best. qcb+K, B as many times as you can, and finish with a kick super.
An alternate finish to this is to do a dp+LK (will NOT work with HK version), carefully time and connect with a punch super after. Hopefully this helps. Have fun.
From what I understand, tiers are based solely on how well certain characters do in tournament play. Hokutamaru, Hotaru and others are just not used in the majority of tournaments, the majority of hte players use Kevin, Gato and a few others, and get high ranks. Thus, there are tiers.
Click on the 6th folder they have, also the older ranbats are there as well for download. It’s about 300mb big and 18 matches total for your enjoyment. I’ll see if I can start uploading them sometime tomorrow. Take care.
It can work as a anti air if you time just before they land, that or use it for his combos. I still prefer his kick super overall for his combos even though his punch super isn’t bad either. It also covers the ground a bit better incase they didn’t JD any of it, but it can be risky cause they can counter up close. Never use it up close unless you know you can land it for sure, cause if they block it/JD it on the ground then your going to get punished.
How many df C’s can you get with Grant off of a counter qcb B or D, and how many can you get off his f,b,f A or C? Or rather, how many so you can get a kick super as well. This being in the corner of course.
