I didn’t know that… but not exactly what I was talking about. I meant ground cross ups. Where you run past them when they tech roll.
I’m having a TERRIBLE time playing against people who backdash a lot when I’m using Dong. People using Dong against me always dive kick to catch me, but I can’t get it to land. Even if I could I dunno if I would 'cause it’s unsafe. Any help? I’ve also had some luck with running up to them, but it seems like I have to anticipate a back dash and anticipation sucks.
Well, the wiki is really starting to come along. Many thanks to the peeps who’ve been put’n time into it. For those who want to help, the Grant portion serves as a decent template for the rest of the chars. Names of moves come DIRECTLY from the American Garou game booklet. If names of moves are not in there, they are put into quotations to signify that it was user designated.
We still got plenty of stuff to hammer out , work on and fill in, but this is a pretty damned good start. For you sick ass combo peeps, be sure to start fill’n in those combos! I’ll keep fill’n in info and editting as I get time.
Keep Play’n. Peace
Noc and Gib - I need help especially with the combo section of the wiki for both Jenet and Kev. Think you guys can help me out?
It seems to be come’n along quite nicely. At the mome, I’m almost out of material to write up for it. Heh heh. Much props to the others who have been help’n to fill in the gaps. I’ll keep do’n what I can in the mean time.
Keep Play’n. Peace
any new word on the tutorial video???
http :// www. ryuuko .cl
Garou vid has many flashy combos, nice songs. Think alot of its prototype though.
Is the Garou combo vid from the ryuuko.cl page using the prototype version? Because there are some strange things, like weird OTG hits and such.
Hmm I was using Tizoc (as usual) & noticed that his Close Standing :hk: works as a good anti wake-up. Also anyone else managed to do Jumping :hk: (Fake)–>720+:p:?
You mean buffer the 720 during the jump or actually whiff the j.D to buffer the big fall? Well, I’ll assume it’s the latter and my own answer is no, at least consistently… though I don’t even know for sure how to whiff the j.D now that I think of it (and if it’s not a whiff, I’m not sure to understand what you mean)
@gilimanolo : if there are (among other things) weird OTG, you can be 99.99% sure it’s a prototype rom vid
You can whiff both jump or even better low jump C/D into 720 but you have to do right as they wake up to make it more tricky. Though chances of them doing wake up super or back dash will happen most of the time. I found a great way to land it but hard to pull off, after a stand A/B into feint f + AC, then 720 + A/C. I’ve landed this a few times on people but you have to time it just right. If you don’t you’ll either whiff the super throw completly, get hit out of it or worst case jump from doing it. Just remember to do right after the feint to have Tizoc do it as soon as he’s done moving foward. Take care.
Well, maybe they aren’t weird OTGs, but since I’m not very familiar with that game, they looked strange to me.
Also, in some of the combos, it looks like the first hit is a counter, but the counter message doesn’t appear.
I think that you should download the video, aside from it being or not the prototype version, it looks nice.
Can you give me a direct link to the video. For some reason, everything I click takes me to the top of the page.
*edit - nevermind, buddy sent me the link. Its done on one of the bullshit roms out there. You can tell by the first combo. The BS roms are good for combo videos, but they’re very misleading for those who want to play the game. Lots of people think the game is broken/glitchy/plauged with infinites cause of some of these vids and faqs.
*edit #2 - The video sucked, damn near everytime a P super was done, they tried to kill you with flashes. “Evolve your game or die” is their slogan. They sure as hell aren’t helping anyone to evolve their game with that video. They should die.
Gib - Ha ha ha. Did I ever tell you that you’re my freak’n hero?!
Yeah, vids using fucked up prototypes CAN be pretty, but they do NO good when it comes to use as a learning tool for the game. Stay the FUCK away from prototypes or else get your ass beat on real deal versions. Btw, in case a lot of you guys didn’t releasize it, there are a number of BS faqs, based off of these on gamefaqs. For people interested in dig’n up info on the game, I STRONGLY suggest check’n out our wiki (which is constantly improving):

Btw, you could try for the wiki some of the direct char post in here for the different chars specific stuff. Just go through the whole thread (with enough time of course) and bring it together.^^ On page 4 you also see some Framedata and stuff …
About the Wiki- not ALL character jump off the ground when doing their move. Gato & Rock stay on the ground
I think the combo format for the wiki is awful…combos that require 10 or so moves will be 10 lines in length. I suggest writing one combo per line, with commas seperating each move, with BR in brackets signifying break or something…or something else to signify feints.
Hmm I can provide a few BnB combos & long combos if that’s OK?
Dig in. Its a wiki, so everyone can edit it. Make an account real quick, and start adding. Please.
Sound good if everyone has the option to do it. Terry’s wiki part lacks a lot of stuff, I maybe edit some things soon, if noone else does …
Grant is lame. Seriously he’s the only character I have trouble with when using Dong. Any and all advice would be helpful. Honestly, I don’t see how he’s not near the top of the tiers. Again I’d prefer strats for Dong vs Grant. Thanks guys.
