Well here are some combos for ya for Kain, some of these I’ve posted before:
(mid screen) cross up C or D, land, stand A, stand B, charge b, f + B.
(mid screen) cross up C or D, land, stand A, charge d, then u + B, break, then charge b, f + B.
You can also finish this combo with a TOP or charge b, f + A as well.
(anywhere) jump B, land, d +AB, stand C, faint, charge b, f + B.
Can end this with his TOP move.
(mid screen with S super stocked) cross up C or D, land, stand A, charge d, up + B, break, quickly qcfx2 + A super.
(corner with P super stocked) jump C or D, land, d + AB, stand C, (qcfx2 + B, qcfx2 + B) or (qcfx2 + A, qcfx2 + B) or (qcfx2 + B, qcfx2 + A), charge d, u + D.
You can also end this with his TOP move if your in TOP mode.
(mid screen with P super stocked and in TOP mode) jump B, land d + AB, stand C, qcfx2 + C, dash in quick before they land, TOP move.

If you’re entire game with Rock revolves around using counters you’re going to get fucked. Rock’s strongest point is his well, nothing. His mixup is average, his damage is average AT BEST, his priority is average. He’s just an average character.
Rock can be very well played with the right hands…Rock has some nice mixups and combo setups as well. I like to use him as my test character on people to see what they fall or wont fall for when I play them for the first time. But overall hes a very fun character to use, not to hard to pick up either.
It’s just, ranking Rock as an equal to Marco is soooooo… wrong. Where Marco has f+A mixup retardedness, Rock’s mixup is throw/easily countered OH (his universal and rush one both).
I agree that ranking rock on par with marco feels a bit strange, but I somehow feel you are quite a marco-lover yourself. True, rock is plain average, but hey! even Freeman can be a real threat ! And technically speaking, he is most certainly the most handicapped chara… Anyway, I agree Garou is one of the most balanced games out there since as Noc said, it’s about skill, and not tier-whoring.
Personnally, my tier-list is more and more like :
upper-tier : charas with something more (e.g : terry and his “walking” feint, kevin and his comboability)
mid-tier : charas without any specific threat
lower-tier : charas with a little something less (e.g. freeman and his lack of anti-air)
and not to anger anyone, I’ll accept to put my big bird in the lower-tier, though I’m far from convinced !
And I repeat : tier lists evolve with one’s skill and in garou the tiers mean less and less as you refine your skills !
P.S. I don’t really care about my big bird being called Tizoc, but I still think calling Marco “Butt” is despicable :tdown:
In this game Rock is pretty low tier compared to everyone else but he still has a decent chance of winning.
The second tier list is pretty accurate I might have Kain over Dong but thats being nitpicky. As Nocturnal said though in this game its fairly irrelevant. That first one and Howard Arenas is pretty horrible.
Lol I suck with Kain so I just do stupid beginner shit like if there cornered I throw then do P Fireball super down up D, yeah I suck shrugs.

Sadly there is no tournament scene for this game in the west end or any end of the GTA for that matter. The players that are somewhat versed in it are spread all over the place. Me, Original Gatsby (also in Brampton) are pretty good. There’s a handful of players in Hamilton that are solid and then random players here and there on the east end.
