cool post up what you find. I can’t figure out sigma at all. I use strider in that match up, so when he does that charge I can teleport behind him for full punish.
tempted to switch from soul to power or time vs armor characters.

Yeah movement is the best way to deal with armor because you can just hit it where it’s vulnerable and they have to tag to get any semblance of safety (and potentially get HBD’d).
The problem with taking Sigma’s armor charge head on is that the starting active frames of it have a retarded hit box. Like I think unless you use something invincible you can’t poke at that hit box with anything. Then the armor comes in later on which heavies can beat, but you have to hope your heavy lands in those frames and not the frames where the early impervious hit box is. Basically the risk reward is completely in Sigma’s favor to throw that shit around against your buttons.
Essentially with Gamora at least the best thing I found in training mode is to throw out j.HK’s from a range and hope he runs into it. Otherwise use your movement to bait one and then crash down on the whiff with a button to punish. If he uses the ground charge the LP cutting edge (qcf+LP) can also beat it. Just have to make sure you get it out fast enough, otherwise it will trade and put you in an HKD. Doing a whiff string like s.HK into LP cutting edge can put out a couple hit boxes that can stop the grounded one.
ground sigma charge is pretty easy to avoid. a local guy here plays sigma nemesis. are angled charge into nemesis tag. brain dead but effective. I’ve been able to dash under and st.hp then tag immediately but that’s super risky. we can super it for 5 more days.
power surge will beat it most times. time surge is the safer bet.
