Gaming Ottawa Presents - February Monthly - February 26th - Ottawa, ON

Welcome back everyone!

As we mentioned to everyone who attended our first monthly, we have our details for February’s monthly console tournament. Many of the details are the same but we are changing some things to simplify and improve. Also with the launch of MvC3 around the corner, we’ve added it as one of the feature tournaments in this month’s event. As well, due to popular demand we’ve added in a BlazBlue tournament into the mix. The other tournaments you saw last month are returning as well so you can expect to see a healthy representation for Smash and SSF4. All the details are below, keep in mind that details are subject to change. Also note that MvC3 is a brand new game so rule changes may occur frequently as people undoubtably discover broken
combos that need to be banned

We will be needing CRTs, Wii’s plus copies of Melee/Brawl as well as LCD screens, Xbox 360s plus copies of SSF4, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift and MvC3.

For those who post and are willing to donate please note the following:

  1. We will be asking you to sign a waiver for your equipment. We will do everything in our power to return your equipment in the state it was given but will accept no responsibility for losses/damages beyond our control or that any reasonable person would expect
  2. We will pick up your equipment on the Friday before the event (the 25th) and store it for safe-keeping, we will log your serial numbers and what was given to ensure systems/setups remain with their correct owners
  3. We will return your equipment on the Sunday after the event (the 27th)

Bringing Your Own Equipment
At this time we would like to request that you contact a GO organizer (either Happablab or buenob) prior to bringing your own equipment. This is to ensure that we can keep track of all the setups at the venue and ensure that there is sufficient space and power for the casual setups. We cannot guarantee that there will be space for a setup, that your equipment will be looked after, or that we can provide a method of transport for your equipment to and from the venue. We also cannot guarantee that we will have space to accommodate all requested setups, as such, they will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Boom Boom Boom

I can volunteer my monitor, CRT tv, and 360 again.

Xbox? fml… anyways standing offer MVC2 MM $5/game ft5, 7, 10 whatever
who waaaaaant it?

No ssf4 teams? Lol I’m disappointed

Could potentially run it as a side tourney after brackets and everything are done, dunno. This is a pretty packed schedule TBH so I think a team tourney would need to be a “let’s see after everything is done” deal.

I so want some if this… Ssf4 and bbcs all day.
Ill stay free in mvc3

i asked a few of my friends who work at EB and Best buy to help advertise the event. Hopefully we get some more random scrubs interested

^^ why? Are you afraid of real competition? Dont expect to pad your w’s with scrubs. Enough people are going to be playing this game at 12:02 thursday morning.

FYI i’m not looking for easy competition. It was meant as a form of speech as in more people to expose them and make this gaming ottawa thing bigger, therefore helping the ottawa-SRK scene

why the hostility?

But to me… you’re padding too…

evryone sux but me

If you come down I’ll money match you, would be fun
Or up, I don’t know which way Kingston is to be honest.

EDIT: Come East

it’s west

dave why don’t you come to a gather? why are you fearing so hard?

hour drive + gas $$ is not worth it for random gathers. Better get your ass out to this tourney though Dave!

i’ll bet that, cu in mvc3 GF brah.

Oh baby. The student becoming the master… almost makes me want to pick up mvc3

All we need is Europe - The Final Countown

  • montage.

Also JimboSlice relax and stop fronting like you’re gonna be the only guy not playing marvel 3 dog, that moustache is curleh.

Me padding? Lol im sooooo free! U beat me up yesterday remember?
Lol. I wasnt trying to be hostile. Past experiences left me frustrated thats all.
