To be really really honest, I don’t actually care what anybody thinks of our scene. Especially if they haven’t been here before and met us in person. The majority of people here posting and dissing Dan have met him in real life. If I had a dollar for how many times I heard “Who the fuck is Yummy?” last night at Zach’s I’d be ballin out of control. Defending your friend is one thing, but coming through and trying to talk about people you haven’t met before over a situation you know nothing about…dumb idea. Especially if you’re talkin about chillin with us and stuff.
Sad part about it, all of this could’ve been avoided say if Dan either didn’t post at all, or, if he simply replied saying he was coming down to the tourney. Nothing more, nothing less. Sure people might’ve cursed under their breaths that Dan was coming, but I’m sure there wouldn’t have been any disses thrown out. Whether the sidebet was a joke or not, you aren’t in a position Dan where you can joke with anybody here. Not only that, but your “joke post” didn’t have anything in it that would suggest that you were joking, no smilies, no nothing. I mean really, the last few pages is just a result of how much people around here really dislike you. Consider it a burned bridge? To me it would be better to write it off as a loss instead of coming here and constantly stirring up drama. For some of the things that were posted, do you really wanna come down to this tourney now?
EDIT-I’m actually beyond tired of all this shit really. The drama, the arrogance, all that shit, and to be honest, at this point in time no one is so raw in SFIV in this area to be posting with that kinda attitude. If you’re gonna come down, cool, come down. People would love to play you. If you’re not gonna come down, how about you go on as if this thread never existed. Don’t hit reply/quick reply, that’s how this cycle continues. In fact better yet, act as if the Northwest Discussion and Matchmaking forum just up and disappeared for no real reason. Stay in your lane, we stay in ours, you keep your thoughts to yourself, we keep our thoughts to ourselves. Everyone wins in the end.
I am really glad you said this, because I actually typed it in my post above on this page but decided to take it down because I knew there was a good chance that some people would get in a snit over it, but I agree: IMO no one is THAT raw at SFIV that I have seen yet that I am super impressed, we should be worried less about who is better than who right now and more about getting better overall, because it’s going to be like 2007 super turbo bickering about who is better: Our playstyles right now in the future are all going to look REPULSIVE on youtube two years from now, so arguing about who is better right now is pretty stupid.

If anyone continues this from either side, they should just get infracted or banned. This shouldn’t be made a new thread. It was for discussing the GameWorks tourney, and that is what it still is.
That being said, I am turning in Keith’s registration form for the tournament on my next trip up to GameWorks. I will likely be heading up on Monday afternoon. If anyone wants me to get there registration in for them and can meet up sometime between now and Monday afternoon, I can drop them off too. I have registration sheets, but the form needs your signature, so you can’t just PM me your info.
I live in Federal Way, but I’ll be heading up through the Auburn, Kent, Burien, and Seattle area sometime soon. PM me and I will see what I can do.
You can sign up Friday afternoon during the freeplay session on the tournament cabinets.
So what’s up with finals being at 9pm on a saturday or sunday? Nine o clock at night, in seattle, on a sunday? What about us fools that work mondays? Then again if it’s just the finals it shouldn’t be going on for that long, I guess.

Hmmm. If I go to yoga on sunday I can maybe skip it on monday and make that work. I’ll PM you on Monday if I’m gonna make my way down there that day. I could just get down to GW on Tuesday myself though now that I think about it. I don’t work and early morning weekdays there’s this commuter bus from downtown edmonds to downtown seattle. Just gotta wake up early enough to catch it.
