This place is pretty legit. Went there Tuesday and it was good times, but…
1: The lag on the monitors issue has to go. TVC had no problem but any games on the monitors was too much. Im sure with some help this can be resolved.
2: Change fight night to a weekend if at all possible. Im certain it would attract more players.
Other than that i see alot of potential for GU, it was alot better than i expected and after those issues can be worked out i hope it can before a success.

As of now at least this Tuesday. We’re still doing the fighting game night after that I’ll have a better idea. Gonna try my best to aim for Friday
Gonna work on getting monitors, gonna take suggestions on using older TV’s for the lag issue
Also working on getting more of the games other then tats, sf3s, and hdremix for next tues (Ps2 obviously CVs2, MVC2, Soul Cal, SSBB/SSBM etc) any other requests I can do got them hook ups.
Also one more note: gonna make a new thread soon, but for people who are worried of traveling a long distance:
The store hours ARE till 10pm, however I will stay much later with the store closed until whenever people wanna leave.

lol earthquake owns! I would try to aim for sat. because I would think it would be alot easier for everybody. I know Paul has his sessions in fall river but man to tell you the truth there’s too much smoke at your house and I can’t breath and if anybody else who doesn’t smoke go up there they can probably agree with me. I will vote for sat and hopefully people will vote for sat too.

You should see if GU is going to have a midnight realease of SF 4 and to promote it some more a SF4 raffle or even a small tourney beforehand. The tourney should obviously be SF4 if you get that in early enough.
Ok 3 things to update:
1: This fighting game night, obviously I want to make BIG but I need all the help I can get to Hype it up, as well as suggestions. Seriously if its agood Idea more then likely I’ll put it into effect. The more suggestions the better!

talked too the boss today, here’s the deal. The reason Tuesday’s would be better is the obvious for GU, Tuesdays a slow day so have an event to bring in people. Now the goal of this is ultimately to help the store, which is why im doing this. But its JUST as important to help the fighting game community find a new home. Does that mean Friday is out of the question? no not by any means. Basically, the store wants to do well. If more people people came on a Friday and showed GU it be worth keeping Fridays the night, we’d do it (obviously Im ok with it too). So I think what we might do is plan a Friday in the future to hold it in the near future. people show up and we’ll have a legit Friday night every night. people dont and we keep it tuesdays. but Ill keep you posted. Thoughts on this idea be great, nothings set in stone.

SFIV will have a midnight opening At Gu! (due to yours truely) and a SFIV tourny will be soon after…not before, kind of illegal?_? probably the weekend of but not sure yet.
I understand that but what about a raffle for a free upgrade to the collecters edition of SF4 if people pre-order at GU? I think that would be good incentive to pre order at GU and the fact that your probably the only place that is going to have a midnight release.
