- Americans love Xbox (nothing wrong with this)
- AC might not actually been out when this was compiled

to be completely honest…I never heard that a street fighter 3 existed till 2006…shame on me…
Honestly I though the list would be far worst. But I’m still kinda surprised that no SNK games are on here. I mean SNK has Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, Last Blade and Samurai Showdown. 3/4 of those have had huge mainstream success. Also Capcom vs Snk wasn’t on the list either? I know they played it but they didn’t think it was better then Mortal Kombat =p?
Anyway the list isn’t that bad. I respect them putting in Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat (because of there mainstream success) but they should of been played at around #9 or #10.
also I wasn’t feeling how they considered all the SFs 1 franchise. Street fighter 2, Alpha and three are all franchises in themselves (or should be considered based on how different they are and the multiple versions of there respective games).

The best part was when they picked Tron A (throw) assist. And then just a second later, Psylocke gets killed by Tron’s throw. Not a bad video, but it would have been nice/cool if they’d actually gotten mid to top tier player videos of the various games as opposed to just random scrubbiness. Killer Instinct in the hands of great players, for example, looks awesome. Their MK snippets were actually pretty good, though, but that’s only because they basically just showed fatalities. =\

Yeah it had insane combos, but every it did marvel does better.

The list was wonky but at least they had some common sense with the number one spot. Oh and CVS2>Marvel…lets get that marvel garbage outta here.

just one thing that have not been mentioned and made me swallow my joint whole… regarding the comments:

Heh I wasnt smoking at the time but i choked on ym gum at the GG comment as well. By the way. Lots of laughs to guy wearing Terrys Fatal Fury hat but not a single SNK game made the list. HAH!
Agreed with the Tekken part. About guilty gear, I think it’s because it is the balanced one. The things that I would say that makes it more balanced would be:
-Eddie’s shadow bar not recovering while in bomb mode. This prevented unblockable loops from GGXX. In AC he has the unblockables that have more BS.
-No Badlands Loop.
-Dust loop was harder to do
-Millia’s damage was toned down so that 3 knockdowns did not equal death like in XX and X. AC is similar but with her Force Break disc it’s powerful.
-Johnny was able to do good combos without the corner that required skill like the FRC JI DB. AC he needs the corner to do serious damage. S Mist finer needs certain distance or else he can’t juggle properly in AC and even then it is not the damage it used to be.
-Slayer dealt heavy damage in Reload yes, but when has he never done heavy damage? In AC, just a simple 2K and 25% meter and you lose so much health.
-Jam did not have the wall gayness like she does in AC.
I’d still play AC because it’s more fun and May finally got some loving and they brought back pinless combos with Millia for knockdowns.
Like almost every single top 10 “gaming” list, it plain SUCKS!
IK+ is better than most games in that list.

This might be the greatest, most accurate list ever. The sheer awesomeness and accuracy of it is overwhelming. Certainly, these guys are true fighting game gurus. Only God himself could compile a list more true.
