i got 1st then 2nd in Kennewick I’ll be in Tukwila for sure.
any confirmation on sticks yet? my gamecrazy JUST got my sticks in today, so I’m still torn on what I’ll be more comfortable on.
From the official SFIV Gamestop tournament thread:
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showpost.php?p=6242426&postcount=982
So in reality, if you’re mad proficient with sticks, I’d say keep working with a pad right up until the day of.
just called my local store to check on my pad and he said that you can def bring your own stick (since the pads are not going to be in).
I’m going to beat you Mr. Cole. I’m going to win.
hahah,… I think everyone in this tourney should call in a request to that gamestop to request personal controllers. Or request they provide sticks.
Hope to see some PDX players!
Hey Ninjetik, is Anthony coming up with ya’ll or did he not enter?
:chat:
havent talked to anthony, but he didnt enter so…
ill see you up there if i go
Has anyone PM’ed Wizard about being the official representative to make sure the tounrament is run right?
Looks like I may be heading up there. JWO you made it to round 3???
In Tukwila on the 14th? Wow, that’s not very far from where I live. I should head up there to spectate. I’m not sure what time it will be, I have not stumbled upon that information yet.
As far as I can tell, it’ll be at 2pm like the previous two rounds.
Nope. I can hardly handle a 8-man bracket on my own with friends.
Hopefully someone a little closer to the action can facilitate. I’ll be driving all the way out from Kitsap County and everytime I drive out that way, most of the time, I just want to drive home.
I would, but if it ended up with 13 people or something, I wouldn’t feel tottally confident throwing that bracket together. If someone else with more experience wants to that would be good, otherwise I will send Wiz a PM if no one wants to. Cole will be there, so its not like there won’t be anyone with experience, but he’s playing so it might be better to have someone else as an official representative.
I’ll do it if people want.
On any non-full bracket, just make sure things are balanced. Like in our Redmond tourney, they would have filled in a 16 man bracket for 13 people with 8 on one side, 5 on the other - the bracket should balance out, so it should simply be 6/7 with the gaps balanced as well within the subbranches.
votes for Zach
I’ve already seen two managers screw up brackets in the two rounds I’ve been to. Uneven sides, pulling in random people in the store to play, etc. Bad news bears. Make Tukwila awesome!
What time does this start at?
Would it still be fair if you asked what district people are from so you can make sure it’s impossible to face each other until finals? Maybe even if the person got 1st or 2nd in their district to power protect other district winners? I know “power protecting” people is not as important, but I think the tournament would be more fun if it was structured so you don’t play someone you’ve already faced before in the 1st round. At least that’s how I would feel if I traveled from Montana with my friend … just to have to eliminate one another in the 1st round.
I’m up for Zach doing it.
Quoted for emphasis. I know that if I were competing, I’d hate to play against someone I’ve already beaten/lost to/etc.
I know that at Lakewood, the manager at least asked where all the people were from, so to avoid any collisions.
Oh. This is tomorrow.
I should see about tagging along with P-Town people. It’s be excellent to meet some Seattle/eastern Washington (and even Montana/Idaho) people.
Per Wiz, it’ll be on 360 pads. MadCatz couldn’t get the sticks out to the stores in time. Should be fun. Those of you who are going, see ya’ll there. I won’t be playing, but I’ll be watching my little brother represent Kitsap County.
