I dunno is this was mentioned or not but my local GS manager says that according to GS rules for tourney’s, all games must be played on system of choice decided upon by GS headquarters (360 cause they have non demo units at every store), all games must be played on the same controller (again, probably 360 PAD which means uber lame sore thumbs I lost cause of pad bullshit) These were the rules laid down for the last like 3 tourney’s they’ve had so… SOL if your not a pad player.
EVERYONE at the gamestop said “That’s BULLSHIT” in unison and we agreed to hold a tourney at a local gaming den in the near future after release, lol.
the gamecrazy near me is having a tournament on the 16th of february from 11pm to 12am. if that’s the case then shouldn’t they have the game by then?
i know that usually a new game doesn’t arrive at stores until 2 or 3 days after it’s release date because of shipping, but once upon a time i went to gamecrazy to pick up battle fantasia a few days after the release date and they didn’t have it. the guy working there said that if i preordered it that i could’ve gotten the game a day after release because they ship all preordered games over night. i don’t know if that’s true but that’s what he told me.
Man everyone talking about it being on the 21st is really making me sad. Well I hope at least there’s a midnight launch so I can get paid to get it at midnight.
Also I thought that was the difference between a newb and a n00b. A newb is new to the game and a n00b is someone who refuses to learn and you eventually tune out. People just seem to have forgotten the meanings and call anyone they think suck a n00b or now a scrub.
Tournament will hopefully happen on the 17th because we’re going to the airport to pick it up.One game until top 4. Top four is 2 games out of 3 Single elim. Grand Finals 3 out of 5. As per the Hegenberger, Oakland Gamestop warm-up tournament this saturday at 5, The game has been changed to Alpha 2.
Usually smaller games they won’t stock unless someone pre-orders. Battle fantasia is about as small-timey as you can get.
I wouldn’t worry about SFIV. At worst, you’ll get it Wednesday.
In my case, I work 12-8am tuesday morning , so if they do midnight release I’ll ask to come in late. I can bring my 360 in, sneak it to work, and unlock the chars. (unless the weather screws me over)
