Props to Rahsaan for easily taking out the upsate bracket, there was some decent players there, but I don’t think anyone had much Dhalsim experience. Try to refrain for talking shit FOR the guy, as you weren’t there.
Buffalo is pretty much the hub for the ‘upstate’ scene, and we have well known SC and Tekken players. We are just now coming back to SF and if anyone from Upstate wants to throw down, contact me. We play twice a week, we have a solid 17 players that play each week and are only getting stronger.

Who cares? Upstate plays Tekken and that is it. If we play anything else like SFIV its because we are bored. No one I know is going all out trying to get good at SFIV and planning on travelin to tournaments. People need to chill.

Justin coasted through, he lost only a round to the other finalist. EX Messiah kick owned everybody. Afterward he rushed out to catch his flight to Atlanta for Final Round. The store had the TE stick to give to him.
A Minor Threat (aka NerdJosh) was doing really well in his bracket than nerves got to him and he ended up losing to James Peace from CT for the chance to fight Justin
I couldn’t beat my first match against a Gief player, we were playing on controllers connected to a kiosk. Its bad enough I can’t play well on a pad but one attached to a kiosk is even worse.
SmoothViper, Rusheddown and Harlemhero got peaced out early as well.

yea my friend (alejandro) was one of the zangief players there he made it to the quarter finals when he played that sagat player…but i knew justin was gonna mow thru everybody once i saw him…that guy with the bandanna was rly nervous about playing jwong lol…i had to boost his confidence a lil bit

Eric Kim won my location, but I was unable to compete b/c I was 7 minutes late and 1 guy voted not to allow me in the tournament.
I live about an hour away and took a wrong turn in an unfamiliar location. I got to the location and the tourney hadn’t even started, so the director put it to a vote, and ONE GUY voted no. So I was not allowed to play.
That guys name on SRK is Phrostbyte. He was peaced out by Eric Kim first round. I’ve even defended this guy on the forums before. I went up to him, looked him in the eye, introduced myself, and asked him nicely to please change his mind.
Apparently he thought he could win better w/o me in the tournament.

^^ We had Preppy on hand to record some matches at the Tukwila location, but the manager said it was company policy to not record anything. Kinda sucks, there were some epic matches going on at this location.

you are right about upstate NY being all tekken, (i used to be awesome at that like, 10 years ago lol) but Albany is coming back with a few SF players of their own. Maybe we can spark some old school competition again to the rochester, and buffalo ppl.
