I just bought this stick on eBay, it was only $20 all up so I thought why not. It’s a pretty sexy looking blue and black design, and apparently is called a Gamester arcade stick. It comes with a ball top and a shaft like top joystick that are interchangable. I guess while my Sanwa parts are coming, I’d have a go at this one.
So, anyone know what this stick is like? Rubbish, ok? Should the buttons and stick be changed? Is it easy to mod?
You get what you pay for, I used the xbox version years ago, my hands still hate me…
Listen to this man. The Gamester joysticks are crap. Can’t mod them except for swapping out the included joysticks, the screw for keeping the joystick in place eventually wears down, and the buttons stink. Just wait for your Sanwa parts.
Ah well I already bought it. Hardly cost anything. I’ll let my friends use em when I power them down with my Sanwa’s.
Sorry to tell you but you overpaid. These were available at the FiveBelow store for…$5 for a reason.
I’ve played on the x-box version of it. It was actually ‘ok’ for a console stick, nothing great though.
I’ve no idea if it can be modded, seems like there would not be enough room in the case.
I’m in Australia, we don’t have em here. Never heard of the FiveBelow store. I paid about 10 bucks for the stick and 10 bucks for shipping. Anyway when it gets here I’ll let you know what I think.
