I fuckin remember that shit too when I was mooching off of other people’s Dreamcasts to play SA and the god damn copy refused to work. I’d try everything, taking it out and putting it back in, blowing on the lens, cleaning off the disc over and over. The one miracle time that disc would work I’d never want to turn the Dreamcast off for fear that it would probably never work again. Thinking about that again is just bringing back memories of frustration >(.
Anyone else remember these?

Ah, Dios X would be proud.
Ewwwww…Pelican…Did that actually work?
I even had a sega all stars copy once that STILL had problems and it was a bought new copy.
Not at all.
I remember when i got my psp for my birthday in 6th grade it came with a whole bunch of pelican stuff including one of those disc cleaner things for psp games. Shit broke my copy of star wars battlefront.
Anyone else here have parents who set crazy limits on video games? I remember growing up me and my sister were only allowed to play our n64 on 3 day weekends. Whenever our mom went to go get it out of hiding we would go apeshit and start dancing and stuff. Good times…
Hands down for me: Xbox 360 - Super Street Fighter IV
I owned “Street Fighter IV” and a PS3. I was loving the game. I was aware that the Xbox 360 version was a tad better, but didn’t really feel the need to jump in.
Ono announced “Super Street Fighter IV” and I started to anticipate.
Then this trailer hit: I was so hyped that I all I remember was… “Turn the beat back!”.
Then this trailer: “GET ON THE DANCE FLOOR!!!” Mega-Hyped! Bought an Xbox 360 within the week of this trailer.
Then that dope Hakan theme-song hit: I still view it on occasion for the sweet track alone. I was dying with anticipation for the game!
Watching these trailers TODAY may not have the same effect. However, when these trailers were fresh… man… that feeling!!! “Super Street Fighter IV” sold me on a new system… and the game on both consoles. The marketing was genius with the Fight Clubs, the Dudley glove mail-out, and all else. It is my opinion that Gametrailer’s should be ashamed for not giving “SSFIV’s” combined trailers a mention in their greatest trailers video.
PS: Shout-outs to Sanford Kelly for performing the triple-EX T. Hawk dive-combo so early on at the NYC event promoting SSFIV.
you should at least try Demon souls, vanquish, infamous, prototype, mirrors edge, ico shadow of the colossus collection, Sly Cooper Collection. And god of war series, and MGS series
I’ve owned a ps3 before, got it super cheap from someone who got it for the 5 finger discount. but i sold it because i found that i was only using it to watch movies. Ps2 was also the first console i bought with my own money but i didnt buy it for a specific game, so i know all about the mgs series and love it but oddly have never played a god of war game. Mirrors edge and prototype are both games i have owned and enjoyed. and i have dark souls. Im just hesitant on buying a ps3 this late in the systems cycle.
That…really is fucking crazy
I thought my dad was weird for not wanting me to have GameBoy games? I think he thought they were a waste of money compared to console games.
NES - B-Day present > Played SMB/Duck Hunt religiously.
Gameboy - B-Day present > Tetris / Double Dragon / Mega Man series.
Game Gear w/ Power Adapter - B-Day present > Sonic all day, everyday; which is exactly why you needed the power adapter.
Genesis - Basically everything we all played, lived for Super Monaco / Sonic Spinball / TMNT: Hyperstone Heist / SF of course.
PlayStation - Best X-Mas Ever > If it was on PlayStation I played it. Still the best memories of any gaming console I’ve ever owned.
Dreamcast - First console bought with my own paypuh > I played everything, mostly fighters but really everything; this console was gdlk.
PS2 - Basically an extension of those great PlayStation memories. MGS2 finally made me buy it.
GBA/SP/Micro - Advance Wars / Battle Network / Pokemon still being a force / ultimately my crack was Mega Man Zero, especially part 3.
DS - Mega Man ZX/A, The World Ends With You, Ace Attorney, plus this weird little Japanese dictionary since the DS was region free.
360 - Won it from a taping of “Ellen”; seriously. > MW2 and SFIV
PS3 - The 360’s potential RROD made me switch back to Sony so I’ve missed all the big shit on PS3; gotta step my game up.
NGPC - Card Fighter’s Clash, SNK vs Capcom, Girls’ Fighters, that amazing little joystick. Miss this little guy so much.
Never owned an SNES/Saturn/Neo Geo/N64/Virtual Boy/DSLiteXL/Xbox/Wii; if it’s not on the list I never touched it.
3DS = Kid Icarus: Uprising and Mega Man Legends 3 (goddamnCapcom)
XBOX - Steel Battalion
Some of my best memories in gaming go back to my high school days playing Starcraft over 56k all night w/ my friend Samurai Leroy.
“One more game, then I’m done…”
It got even worse when Warcraft 3 dropped.

me and my brother had 4 macs all hooked up just to play marathon games from bungie, are friends would come over and play all day.
…Did you go to public school in America?
