Had really odd bosses. I played it in an arcade first (I was like 9) and I was blown away. But I did take note of how difficult it was. A couple of months/a year later maybe I see its out on Genesis. I get it and I’m pissed to see all the things that were taken out of it–didn’t seem the same. Yet it was still retardedly hard. Guardian Heroes- (Sega Saturn)
-This game was insanely awesome. I think the only thing that would’ve helped it is if it were higher resolution. Really fun game, although VS mode was really broken since the juggle potential even with the ukemi type function seemed infinite.
Fist of Flying Dragon- (NES)
-I was close to melting this game, I played it so much. Kinda like an action/rpg fighting game, you would collect moves and your progressed.
E-Swat- (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive)
-Hard doesn’t describe this game. Impossible maybe. Back in the day, it was a pretty cool game though. Never beat it but I played the hell out of it.
El Viento- (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive)
-Pretty cool niche action game, suprised it got a US release.
Arcus Odyssey- (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive)
I wore that game out like nobodies business. Me and a friend of mine at the time (4th grade) played this game one weekend religiously. When we got to the last boss, the aura in the room we were playing was epic. I wish times could be so simple like that, again. Just playing a game that was good on the weekend was enough to make your weekend.

[]Shadow Dancer for Genesis: no one ever seems to care for it.
[]Comix Zone: A lot of people shit on this game.
[]Pulseman: A Megaman/Sonic clone.
[]Shenmue 1: I can probably count the number of people that’ve played (and liked) this game on one hand. It doesn’t help that I’m one of them.[/LIST]
Omega Boost - I fucking loved this shooter. It was what I imagined every Macross game should be.
Gungrave - Another action shooter that was nothing but blow the shit out of everything.
River City Ransom - ZOMG soo many hours wasted.
Super Puzzle Fighter 2. - Yeah. Seriously. I’ve worked in the game industry for 7 years and outside of my immediate friends and fellow SRKr’s, only like 3 people have ever played this… …and people wonder why games these days suck
otogi 2 for the xbox, best game for the system imo
I cant remember the name but it was a shooter for the pc engine where you was in a toilet and you had to shoot flying shits
asterix for the MS one of the best platformers ever i wasted countless hours playing this it was really great because you could play as 2 seperate characters giving you allmost two seperate games, also it was one of the best games to go for a high score there was tons of secrets i mean TONS! and quite a few glitches
Advanced vg2 psx, great little fighter with anime girls
Asuka 120%, again anime girl fighter pretty decent especially the last game in the series
Sonic council for the saturn, great great fighter has it’s own tier list in game LOL
MSR for the dreamcast this was the first project gotham known as metropolis street race, i think it could have been one of the first games to recreate a city well 3 citys london, tokyo, san fran, there’s so many things i loved about this game i think i’ll list a couple.
the whole playing at nighttime gives you night races but racing in say tokyo you’d be racing day, basically a realtime clock
the radio in game, the music was pretty poor but the whole radio thing was a nice touch
3)actually seeing places you know in a game, me being from london it was neat to say " ahhh yeah it really does look like westminster bridge"
Most important the handling of the cars, making the game a real joy to play, to this day i’ve never felt better handling while maybe it’s not the most realistic it certainly is not RR and besides if i wanted realistic handling i’d go and drive a fucking car.
Shadow Tower: Abyss for PS2
Space Griffon VF-9 for ps1 (i know there are like 2 other people on the board who played this)
Sentinel Returns for ps1
Skeleton Warriors for ps1
and yeah, E-Swat was a classic…hard as balls in the later levels though
Awesome RPG. Is it just me, or did the character designs fo Skies of Arcadia and Threads of Fate look similar? Did the design team from ToF work on SoA?
basically just strip mahjong (think strip poker… but mahjong), but the girls you play against are usually very reluctant to remove even a shirt (especially the flat-chest tamami ), but they do. because they lost. it’s just so cute to watch them hesitate, and the animation is excellent, it’s so serious & emotional
GAM! screen cuts from game board to girl with giant bubbles floating behind her, music gets slow, romantic
her: "oh… i don’t know…"
me, shouting at my neo geo pocket: "RULES ARE RULES! YOU LOST, SHOW ME YOUR TITS AHAHAHA"
her: “well… wipes tear …i suppose…”
really, a very satisfying game, best if you already know mahjong (gin rummy style, not the pyramid kind). you have no idea how hard it is to teach yourself mahjong through trial and error in a foreign language game. :wasted: still, no regrets.
Did anyone play Batman for the Genesis? When you beat the game after Joker dies, theres this music that plays at the end I swear it sounds like 16-bits best attempt at a Prince song…anyone get this when they beat the game?
watching a speedrun of it now, the game had some pretty nice music
