Best Beat’em all EVER! (the only one that beats Guardian Heroes IMO!)
Still have the opening song in my head!
Mutant Fighter Mazin Saga - Genesis

I remember that the one time I played, I somehow jumped outside of the playable area (the invisible wall only prevents you from going back in) and could no longer play the game. In retrospect, that was probably a good thing.
obviously
Anyone play this one game on the PS1 that’s like…you’re in this sort of mech, 3rd person view, and there’s these evil cats as villains? The game kinda looked like The Misadventures of Tron Bonne IIRC.
I think I remember playing it on a Playstation Underground demo disc.
You were freed!
Robo Pit. That was a crazy game.
:u: This is something I played, not what GC!? was talking about.
Microcosm - Sega CD

Power Strike for the Master System. Loved this game as a kid, and was hard as hell too. We had been using the 7 weapon (I think, the one that put a massive blue sphere in front of your ship.) for ages, then we found someone who told us to use weapon 1 instead, then it got a little bit easier.
Obscure NES Games/Great Games
Oh man, this thread is amazing. I love weird and/or obscure games that no one knows about or hasn’t played. I’ll list some 8 bit NES games that got overlooked/never played etc… This is a nice list, and if anyone knows any of these games then let’s talk about their coolness.
1-Ghoul School-This game was so much fun, it didn’t have the best graphics but it was sure fun as hell to play. Whipping people with the towel for the win!
2-Metal Storm-This one was already mentioned, but still this game is still amazing even today. This game in a sense was kind of ahead of it’s time really. Just play it and you’ll see why.
3-Vice: Project Doom-This game was one of the best action/hybrids of all time. The fact that this game was overlooked astounds me. Words cannot begin to describe the amazingness of this game. If you want a game that fully took advantage of the NES’s little 8 bit processor, then this is the game. I mean this game had a little mini spy hunter type stage in stage one, then you had your standard action side to side coolness, then finally you had these shooting stages which were very reminiscent of operation wolf. And the game even had little mini cut scenes that were just as good as Ninja Gaiden series. Oh and add the fact that this game was made by sammy, before guilty gear and all that. A high recommendation for this game, play it, love it and later you’ll be thanking me.
4-Shatterhand-Once again, yet another game that was very overlooked. This game was another great action game. After the first stage, you could then go to any stage you wanted just like the mega man series. Oh and you could collect these different letter type things, and when you got three of them you’d make a robot that followed you around. There were like 6-10 I believe different robots you could have. A few of them include a grenade tossing robot, a flamethrower bot, and a laser bot. Great game, play it.
5-Krazy Kreatures-This was an unlicensed puzzle game, but funny thing is what that it was probably the best unlicensed game made. You basically got match up different types of animals with the same of it’s kind. It’s very bizzare, but so much fun.
6-Whomp Em-This game was alot of fun, reminds me of the megaman series some what. You basically could pick a stage that you wanted to go to just like megaman, and you fought different bosses just like in megaman. And you got different types of spear heads/spears. Lots of fun.
7-S.C.A.T.-This is yet another underplayed/unplayed action game, believe me when I say it’s worth your time.
8-Startropics-This one is a little debatable just because, I think some people might of played this game. This game was so good, it was even a good challenge for the game too. You’ll die many times, but you’ll just keep coming back to it.
9-Palamedes-Cool little puzzle game, you basically make little combinations of dice reminiscent of a card game I can’t think of right now.
10-Kunio Kun Basketball-This game is import only, but I’ve played it on emulator before. Also there’s many import games that came out from Technos Japan that were so overlooked. This is another company that just like Treasure, is a very underrated company. They had so many good games, yet they went unnoticed and now Technos is bankrupt and no longer around.
Anyways, those are just a few games that I think are outstanding. And this is one reason why I’ll always love the NES as my favorite console of all time. In the era with all these fancy graphics and processors, the NES even with it’s outdated graphics still managed to put out some amazing games that are still awesome even after all these years. Classics don’t die, they stay around forever! Next time I’ll post up some more cool games from the NES library that are overlooked.
Final Fantasy Legend II (SaGa 2). Still one of my favorite games of all time.
SaGa Frontier 2. Also one of my favorites that no one seems to have played.
Ballz. 3d snes game.
i think it says “just like street fighter” on the back of the box. dot dot dot.
SaGa Frontier 2 was EPIC! I’m so glad I’m not the only one that enjoyed that game.
So many different RPG elements in that game, yet it still worked and wasn’t a huge cluster fuck.
And they tied in all the stories REALLY well.

Okage: Shadow King. What an embarasment.
Rise of Kri

You mean Mark of Kri? Or Rise of Kasai? They both suck after you get over the novelty of them being super-violent Disney movies.
LOL @ My own post.
I guess both since that was a huge fuck up.
But yeah…they both sucked.

haha, oh god.
Anyone ever play… “Tiny Toons Adventure: Buster Busts Loose” for the SNES?
Or Plok?
and no I’m not saying any of these games are great, just going off from games which no one else probably played :\
I played the Gameboy one. If I remember correctly, it was actually okay.
Meh, as a kid I enjoyed it. Football stage layout was kinda weird, but pretty fun.
Didn’t they have a Tiny Toons game for NES?
