Oh shit. I didn’t play Koudelka or whatever, but you just reminded me of another shitty first-gen PSX game: Kileak. What a piece of shit.
darkman for game boy. Why did i have this game? It played like double dragon I’d play that shit for hours.
decap attack for genesis. On the internet this game has reached classic status but IRL no one has heard of this game. Internet and real life are so different for some reason.
road avenger for sega cd. anyone who knows me will tell you i talk about this game every time sega cd gets brought up. Its just a laserdisc game … i know. but the story of man kills gang with his turbo car really touched me.
art alive for gen. “whats that game” “its a game where you can paint and stuff” "oh you mean mario paint ’ “no, i mean art alive… its like mario paint … just shittier”
and whomever said dj boys. yeah that game was sweet.
i loved Star Force for Nes and also Arch Rivals on Genesis.

Yea, running around in the Underworld was a pain in the ass for sure. I don’t think I ever beat that game, I couldn’t kill the end boss Dog Demon

I thought it was pretty bad, even by the standards of alot of the generic beat em’ ups that were coming out at the time.
That was about a mummy or skeleton guy that ran around and threw his head to attack things right? Yeah, I rented that once when I was younger.

I thought Peace Keepers was okay. It was definitely playable, unlike pretty much everything else I listed, and it has a pretty fun multiplayer mode. It’s just that Flynn completely breaks the game.
Comix Zone for the Sega Genesis? I loved that game but it doesn’t quite get the ‘hurrah’ I think it should…don’t tell me I’m the only one who dug this game?
Bahamuts Lagoon for the Super Nintendo [on an emu]. Good game in case your ‘intrigued’ [SquareSOFT made it so there’s some FF elements here and there].
One-AnyONE remember this game on Playstation? I dug it to be honest, though I only played the demo of it…over and over. It was fun for a sampler.
LOVED this game, Gex was the MAN, er, Gecko.
NO2(don’t know how to do superscript), basically a game called Nitrous Oxide. It was a shoot-em-up in the style of the old as hell arcade game Vector, but with trippy music and visual effects. it was pretty nice.
Comix Zone was bad ass.

I’m so fucking terrible at Comix Zone it’s ridiculous. I don’t think I can even beat the second level. : <
I dunno, I mean there are things I like about the game. Branching paths in levels and seeing different storyline parts was cool. It wasn’t as god-awful action wise as like … Rival Turf or something. It was still miles away from being even near SOR status or anything though.
It seemed like there were only three models for the enemies, and they just repeated which was pretty shoddy. I remember their being fat guys who could somehow just break your combo attack and throw you, which was fairly gay, considering it seemed to be harder to walk-up throw enemies than other games. The gameplay just didn’t seem that fun to me. Granted, I never played that far into the game, but it really just didn’t appeal to me that much.

I still run through that game almost daily.
Senka (stage 3 boss) is a whore on hard though.
Inindo was awesome as well, it was always fun getting attacked when youre trying to get a good night of sleep.
But my claim to gaming obscurity has to be Love and Destroy (psx). A hardass mech game that had some weird ass dating sim elements to it, but hot damn were the bosses rape hard.

I agree with all that, and it’s definitely not the best game of its time or genre. But it’s not the worst, either, and it’s not like I regret having played it or anything.
Which is unlike Kileak. I felt like a worse human being after playing that.

dude, that game was awesome. i actually beat it once when i was a lad, but i forgot what happens at the end. i just remember fighting that anubis looking guy. getting out of the traps when you died was sweeeeet. that’s a game that makes you feel so clever when you figure something out. like feeding the cat some catnip :lol:
Oh man can’t believe I forgot this game. Panzer Bandit was so fuckin’ awesome. I gotta see if I still have that.
