Atheism is “the absence of belief in God” so its the exclusion of God so one does not need to include a label for it. Because the title Atheist includes nothing soo it makes no sense to make such a group(For “someone”).

And Satan is believed to be an entity which includes with him the concept of God so I would think a “group for atheist” and a “group for Satan” would be totally different belief wise.

At lease Atheism believe in something. They believe that we came from nothing. I know nice people that are Atheism as well.

1st sentence: Origin of our being would be “evolution” not “nothing”.
There actually is an objective goal/purpose for society, one we all implicitly agree to whether we are conscious of it or not. The dichotomy between pleasure and pain. Term"problem" = religion causes more pain than pleasure in the world. Read a fucking history book. People don’t knock down buildings with airplanes or pillage, rape and crusade their way to victory under the banner of reason. They always have and always will do these things under the banner of religion with god’s blessings.

No one ever killed another person because they were being too reasonable with one another. Religion is a poison. It cripples healthy minds from a young age and corrupts their faculties turning otherwise smart, questioning kids, into obedient drones. It sets up authority that you can’t actually ever question (since god doesn’t exist and you can’t actually have conversations with it) and that follows people into adulthood. Not questioning the government, not questioning the police or the military ect. This has NEVER been the sign of a healthy society in the history of the world. Too much religion always ends up making a society regress, not progress.

Anyway, I know what will happen. We’ll go back and forth and brow beat each other, I’ll bring up science and facts and you’ll bring up faith and eventually you’ll get walked into a corner by logic where you’ll end up saying something allong the lines of, “I have faith” or “it’s a matter of faith” to prove your point and essentially end the conversation. I don’t care to go there. I’ve been debating you people since I was 16. I doesn’t even matter that I’m hung over. As an atheist, we always stand on the firm ground of facts and science. Not the soft unstable ground that faith provides.

It’s the fucking 21st century and people are still carrying around mythical tales from the prior to the bronze age in their heads and thinking they are true. Seriously, how stupid can people get? It’s all made up, they made it all up. all of it is a big, sick fucking joke.

The Pain/Pleasure goal is not objectively given to us from something transcendent of us so its not an objective goal/purpose for our existence. Sure you can impute a purpose to your existence, but that is merely subjective.
Your worldview does not dictate any objective purpose or goal for existence. We are just here, products of time chance and matter given no worth or value except by whats given to us by culture/state(which in themselves are also products of the same elements) which ultimately makes them false objectively.

So again to assert the statement that “Religion is a poison” seems contradictory to your worldview because there is nothing transcendent of us that dictates an objective purpose/goal for existence. So Religion in actuality, in the confines of your worldview, poisons nothing, because like I said THERE IS NO OBJECTIVE GOAL/PURPOSE FOR OUR EXISTENCE.

So if youre gonna claim what you believe then stop borrowing from what you’re opposing. Things like intrinsic Human worth and value does not and can not exist objectively in your worldview. So stop using that as a justification for your hate for religion when that aspect of life is a religious aspect.(Objectively Speaking)

Fair enough. I don’t have an Xbox though. anyway. (1.)What do you consider a deep impact? Mainly through conversations?

(2.)Will you sponsor someone that isn’t Christian? Am I correct to assume sponsorship is in line with promoting?

I think thats cool that your covering out of your own pocket. Similar to Marn sponsoring Wolfkrone.

MMA fighters like Vitor Belfort and Rampage have had Christian text or symbolism on their shorts, but It seemed like it was a personal choice outside of a direct sponsorship.

Jamie Thomas who joined Zero Skateboards, was their first pro and in contrast to their skull imagery, would put out decks with crosses.

These guys love and respect what they do and put everything into it. I think “esports” is a bad word because of that uncertainty and history of ‘flavor of the month’ and how we know the businesses won’t stick around through good or bad, thick or thin.

So with no history in FG, no proof of passion for them, there should be skepticism. Fighting games as just an means to an end doesn’t go down clean. There nothing wrong with being a business, it just has to be clear, and you made it clear. I posted the bizzy bone interview because I believe in that motto – keep it real.

Answer: We are under the New Covenant and not the Old Covenant or Old Testament. So as a Christian we should apply the (New Covenant/After Christ Died) to our lives and not the (Old Covenant/Before Christ Died); not to be confused with Old Testament and New Testament.

Answer: Because as Christians/people we are affected greater by the preaching of the law more than wars. Let me explain: The law is Do good, be good, act good which is important but the (Law/Ministry of death/10 Commandments) can’t save anybody since only accepting Christ/Jesus can save us from death and set us free to live. Old Covenant instead of wars?
Answer: Both are oppressive but starting at the root in more important than starting at the fruit. When its men who start wars I see focusing on what I can change or have an effect on. Answer: Again its the gamers we are looking for that are Christians that we want to support in playing the games more than the games being our focus. Although we are looking to have top talent in each of the main fighting games. We will keep everything in prayer and if we feels its drawbacks outweigh the benefits then we would not engage in such games but I feel the gaming venues and gamers attending have their heart in the right place so the game isnt so much of the focus as the hearts of the group we are supporting being in the right place.

At G4C we are after heart transforming not behavior modification! Because if change the heart of someone starts having a personal relationship which Christ then they will want to do the things that pleases Christ.

This is the reason most people(including me) CAN’T STAND religious people. If you ever see me acting like this. Please come up to me and say something because I think a lot of the crap we see on TV is people being taken advantage of when these so called christian preachers ask for money to receive a blessing from God. I understand why people are getting so fired up over this (religion tends to do that to people) but really people are making a mountain out of a molehill. Anytime religion or religious discussion is brought up does not mean that someone is swindling you or that you are going to have something shoved down your throat. That being said the idea of religious intercourse (yo, intercourse as in talking) going on at a time and place designated specifically for something else that many people are incredibly passionate about is in a way threatening to the people that come there simply to play fighting games. For me fighting games are a way to channel emotion that i have to keep in check for a large portion of my day to day life, oftentimes when i play its a cathartic experience. Part of the beauty of fighting games is that when you are head to head with someone its not about race religion age or any of that other shit, its just you, your stick, and them. To get good at these games takes thousands of hours and a shitload of losing and a whole lot of dedication. Hypothetically you are proposing that some of the focus (yes, even if it is a small amount its still something, even if its voluntary) at these events be shifted towards something else, a thing that some people are violently opposed to. Even if this group of people isn’t forcing you to join in or anything it still affects the entire flow of the event. It forces acknowledgment of something that before was totally irrelevant, hypothetically some of the people that you would otherwise be playing in casuals or just talking to while watching matches will be otherwise occupied discussing their faith, something that just feels unfair considering how much the individual cares about fgs. To some people bringing religion into the scene is obviously a desecration of something held sacred to the player, a parallel that could be drawn would be bringing an arcade cabinet into a church during a sermon to play money matches.

Personally i don’t think that it would be that big of a deal to try and hold these sort of conversations at events. As long as you don’t force people to join or have to overbearing of a presence i wouldn’t care, i would be perfectly happy to just mind my own business playing vidja games and getting hype. In all honesty though i don’t think that the tournament environment is the appropriate place to hold the sort of discourse the OP is striving for. A Tournament (or even just a small gathering) is an area ripe with distractions, time restraints, and people who will be focused on what they came there to do. I believe that any attempt at establishing some sort of religious group that participates in some sort of religious activity in such a non-religious environment would rapidly fall apart (unless you gave away free fried chicken or jesus action figures). People have shit to do, and i doubt they are going to willingly donate a portion of their free time they set aside to play their hearts out pondering bible interpretations. I feel like even if people were into religion enough to voluntarily do this they would be doing it in an environment solely dedicated to religion rather than one that is mainly for fighting games. If you really want this to work though I feel like if players were invited to join a group sometime before or after the tournament things would work a lot better. Idk if what you are trying is gonna work brad, but coming from someone decidedly non religious i wish you the best.

Btw I think it needs to be said that rufus is the most religious character ever. He named one of his moves after jesus and his alt in sfxt is him in angel mode. He’s pretty much obese god.

AGreed with everything except this. The term “qualified” isnt the right way to think of it. Christians believe that they should be going out spreading good news of the gospel which they are told they are witnesses to.
This Brad dude when it comes to his faith is a witness to God’s work and glory and it is believed that the relationship with Christ is personal, and he believes he is revealed through the bible. And their bond with other believers is the blood which transformed their hearts to love the God revealed in the bible so if one is really having troubles with faith, “dude with a credit repair dvd one the internet” is qualified to help them not because of his own greatness but because he is a witness to the God of that faith.

Also I dont think Catholics are considered Christians…so I dont think they would want to go to their local priest

About your random dude comment stuff. I haven’t been to a bible college and didn’t go to school or college to learn about my credit repair to be on a DVD business. lol but Im one of the best!!! Speaking at churches, high schools and radio stations over the years. Anyways…

Some facts about you local priest and years of studying the bible. Jesus and all those in the new testament. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John didn’t go to a bible college either… The God above qualifies me and not a degree I have hanging on the wall. lol Although I have been studies the bible over 10yrs out of passion and not because Im trying to get a degree. Attending many church services and bible studies with some of the most solid christian men I know. Thats where I get my experience. Not from a college degree but from real life and real people…

Im for the local priest and all that but… They aren’t attending the gaming tournaments and hosting bible studies on xbl, I am and a few others that starting doing what we at G4C or doing after seeing ours.
