Yeah, I know CvS2 might not have that many entrants, but all the more reason to make it $10 to enter. I doubt we’re going to get that many walk ins to join just because it is $5 cheaper, and it discourages regulars from travelling for it.

If Empire Chesapeake is coming down we’ll definitely have enough to throw a CVS2 tournament. Especially since pretty much all of us play CVS2 at some level. Even if it’s a very scrubby level “see DevilJin”.
LOL. I’ve heard stories about Jersey. I guess anything’s better than Bankhead Hwy in ATL. I asked my boy from Bama, MOD about that place (Jinmaster/X30’s tournament) and he was like…“yeah man…that’s a bad place”. I hope that tournament gets a good turnout despite the odds. :lol:

NC is pretty shitty. I was just there over the weekend at my dad’s house. I hate that place. It’s not Jersey shitty (read: trash everywhere, and nothing to do), but it is bumfuck-shitty (read: nothing exciting for miles on end). Durham is kinda dirty too (though still nowhere near Jersey-level).
Still, the point is the games…
LOL - damn man. It’s not all bumfuck shitty/dirty. We could all say the same thing for the fact that it’s all ugly ass trees on the way through VA. At least our trees are sexy. 
I’ll be on 3s teams. I’d also play on AE teams if that happens, and Slash.
EDIT: I’ve got an idea about NGBC. Since people don’t want to play/give it a chance for various reasons, why don’t we make NGBC some kind of team tournament. In order for people to get a chance with the game and to play different people and characters, plus the fact that there are only going to be about 8 entrants max (as is now), we could do 2/3 double elim teams. Phillip, Lucious, Ed, BLake, and myself as captains for separate teams, don’t know how many per team (maybe on interest), and then in between matches each of us would coach the hell out of the other people on our team (help with system, matchup, etc.). Each captain would not be allowed to play until the losers bracket (maybe 3/5 when captain vs. captain), and then only when the rest of the team has been knocked out. Make entry like $10 per captain, then $3 for each other team member? Same 70/20/10 split for the pot.
I’m not saying these are any kind of final details, we could iron all that out later if we decide something like this can be done. I just think this could be a good way to get more people interested, some more exciting matches, and at least some varied playtime for the other people who usually enter. I know there are some poeple who play/want to but won’t enter the $10 tournament - this could help alleviate that while letting those players at some other matches. Just throwing the idea out there.

SOVA is good for what again? The only thing it’s good for is VA beach area lol. SOVA is like the Red Headed cousin of NC and SC put together. Lots of farms and a lot of the same sulture as in the carolina’s. Durham is dirty, I grew up there. It’s a melting pot of danger lol. I hope that wasn’t the only place you visited. Should have gone to raleigh or charlotte if you wanted to “do something.” We used to come up to SOVA tournies a lot when they had them. The scene isn’t what it was.

I lived in NC for five years though, and I still go back there often enough, so I know what it’s about.
Please don’t judge VA by SOVA… please. There are 3 main metropolitan areas in VA
1.Northern VA (fairfax, vienna, arlington, falls church, alexandria, sterling, woodbridge etc)
2. Richmond
3. Tidewater (Hampton, Newport News, VA Beach, Norfolk)
I ranked them that way for a reason.
Everything else in VA is sticks. But… in the western part of the state, you have skyline drive and the shanendoah mountains, which are some of the most beautiful places i’ve ever been to.
What ever happened to richmond(ian/shamy/omar/dave/etc)? Get those fools to come out =). Then we can for sure have a marvel 5on5. Or i can even run like a small team tourney.
