How the hell did I get on the list for A3? I never mentioned anything bout playing in A3. I suck at that game. Can barely play Super Turbo as it is. Any ways take me off of AE and put me down for CVS2, KOFXI and Slash. I’ll just hand you guys 5 bucks if I feel like playing A3 on Sat. Probably not though. My bro **BB Hood01 **will be entering 3S and tentative for XI . He has his on and off sessions in tournaments with Slash (so do I) so I dunno if he’ll be entering that yet (depends on his money situation).
Probably once they figured the game was gonna have a decent turnout. CVS2 isn’t looking too bad. Usually you’re lucky to get a 12 man tournament for that game. It has the same amount of bodies as Slash now and yeah it should be a major. 5 dollars for a game that will probably have more people than NGBC doesn’t make sense.
I don’t even understand why NGBC is a major outside of the fact that you guys are trying to grow the scene for the game. Which with that…it should be a minor 5 dollar tournament to attract newer players who are looking for comp. I can’t see myself getting into it though. The peepz where I live don’t even play it anymore (it kinda just collects dust with SS Tenka) and generally…even if they did like it I wouldn’t really play it. I’d rather play old school KOF than NGBC. It’s just not interesting to me.
Does anyone even play Tenka anymore or has it been realized that the game is broke/sucks/no comp/whatever other reason. I don’t know anything about it except that like nobody plays it. It’s pretty cool to have like all of the SS characters but SS in general is a very slow paced fighting series. There’s definitely a lot more zoning and ranged fighting compared to other fighters and that’s why some of the fights look boring (but it actually is kinda fun). I guess I’ll randomly mash buttons in SS2 if you have it there.
I hope NGBC gets players but I doubt I’ll be participating in the tournament unless someone literally asks me to put me on their team. I’m guessing it’s going to be like 5 bucks a person. I like XI but NGBC plays like old school KOF with like a few extra things added on and a lot of stupid characters I don’t care for playing as. So someone bring KOF 98 so I can randomly mash buttons in that.
Wish I could help you but I haven’t been in the loop for a while. I will however be bringing KOF MI 2 to pass the time 'till the tourney starts. I forget who bought Virtual Fighter in the last tourney I attended. Oh well.
LOL at MI2. Too bad Alvarez and Charles aren’t coming…they’d have a blast playing that joint. Charles would find some way to break the game and own everyone.
Virtua Fighter sounds fun. Another good game to lose horribly in.
Pretty boys tend to be overused, kinda like the shoto-bums of Capcom. There’s been a girly-men epidemic in SNK in recent years. Before that there was Midway’s ninja generators.
Yeah…bishounens are abundant in a lot of games but I always liked Ukyo cuz he was one of the first. I like Remy too just cuz he happens to be one of the few in a SF game (along with Vega). Something about long blue hair is cool. Ash sucks though. Obviously they just took the concept of Remy (charge character, pretty lookin, blah) and put a headband over his head and made him so girly that everyone who mistaked Remy for a girl should give him a dollar.
Kazuki is like, the best character in Tenka, hands down. So disgusting.
Ed, remember to take me off 3rd Strike. I’m kind of wishy-washy about NGBC, maybe if I can get the money I’ll be able to enter since it’s teams and all.
You know what’s bad about that? Remember Foxy in KOF 2001? I created a female wrestler in Smackdown 2006 based on Ash. The end result was “her” looking almost exactly like Foxy. I made other “KOF” characters in that game but that’s another story. Anyway, I’d like Remy…really, but don’t they have enough Guile-characters in fighting games already. Then again between girly-men it’s a tie between Vega and Benimaru. 'Course I thought Vega was female when “he” first came out, damn!! Ukyo is the first and best with Moriya from LB2 coming in second, too bad about the tuberculosis.
