Thanks for the heads up and detail. I seem to have seen one of them without the SCII faceplate (also Hori), it it was also rather pricey.
I have that Hori stick, was very useful. I bought it off my friend for $40 like 3-4 years ago. Dont really use mine anymore though. If anyone wants to buy it just let me know.

I’ve never tried one of those myself, but they probably have hori stick/buttons similar to those in any other hori stick. In that case, you can expect something playable but not great. Personally, I wouldn’t pay that much for one, I’d wait around for another good ebay deal.
Hey chipper did you use a pelican digital gamecube controller for that stick. I have 2 of those pcbs and am about to hack one of them to make a game cube project box. Do the z and start buttons have their own ground or can you share a ground with the other buttons?
it’s the pelican as you mentioned. It’s all a common ground so no worries. Pretty easy hack except I accidentally started pulling the copper off the epoxy board. Anyways, managed to hack it in the end. Gape in awe:
