I’m down with that. Gotta get in with that Chun!
Videos from last week are up! You can find them up above or the full SG, KOF XIII, & AE 2012 playlist here.
Remember, this Thu, May 24 is the last GameClucks before Northwest Majors 4 as we are taking next week off. Come on by for some practice! Let me know if you’ll be late and I hope to see you there!
You’ll still be meeting up after NWM4 though, right? I’ve been meaning to come back but with starting a new job and such I haven’t made it back out to GameCluck’s since before they moved! D:
Questions about the setups at Gameclucks:
PS3 or 360?
HDMI or Component (can you do component)
Streaming possible?
I was there months ago and I was going to try to stream, only to find out it’s all standard definition over there (gross!). Not that I’m some kind of streaming wizzzard but I’ve streamed off my HD consoles without issue before (without too many issues), and figured a few people wouldn’t mind getting a stream going.
Hey again! We’ll still be meeting up after NWM4. You should make it out some time, our new location is great!
We’re still on Xbox 360s with the occasional PS3 setup. Half of our Xboxes can output HDMI with the necessary cable for component. The internet there is fantastic and more than suitable for streaming. We have 3-4 monitors we use for tournaments with the rest of casuals happening on CRTs. While my recordings are all SD, I use splitters and converters in order to record them off our monitors so that the tournaments are in no way affected by this limitation. You are welcome to try to stream as long as this doesn’t affect people’s ability to play, although there will be an issue of you having room due to how many people attend and the size of our venue.
Speaking of streaming, I ended up buying quite a lot of equipment on Monday and I am just waiting for it to arrive at this point (should’ve paid extra on shipping >.>). It will not arrive in time for this Thursday, but after NWM, I am hoping to start streaming and providing HD recordings.
Awesome, I guess I’ll find out what you got but for the sake of wondering: what did you get?
Yeah the streaming solution I have uses an HD PVR, and it’s a pass-through video device so there is no delay for the players, there is like a 2 second delay for the stream but that’s never a huge issue. I know I can get HD recordings no problem, the streaming part is the one I’ve never tested “in the wild”. There always is -something- that comes up when out in real world scenarios.

Surprised at KOF for its attendance and amazed SC5 happened. It was a lot of fun! Thank you again to everyone who made it out. We had 21 different participants not including all those that came out just for casuals (and there were quite a bit of you for casuals, welcome to everyone that was new!). Grats to Mechanica, Cam, and Sam No on their wins. Special thanks to everyone who made the tournaments happen.
Next week is Northwest Majors 4 and pre-registration for Northwest Majors 4 has extended to Sunday, May 27th! If you’re planning in participating, save yourself some money and register at www.NorthwestMajors.com!
We are also in need of setups for the tournament! We are unable to waive your venue fee, but we will provide raffle tickets. If you can provide anything for NWM4, please message me. We can’t do this without you.
We will be taking next week off for NWM4. Even if you don’t feel confident in your skills, it’s a once a year experience that we are fortunate to be able to hold in this region. Come on by and get casuals in with all kinds of players from across the country, root for your friends, make some new ones, or watch Seattle’s own take on some of the countries best in person. I hope to see you there!

Have you tried switching to Meta Knight? If so, I’m out of suggestions.
Take a little pressure off yourself. Have a little fun while you play .

Alright, we are back tomorrow with a few changes (full details can be found in the first post)

Quiet week as people recover from Northwest Majors. Happy to be seeing people try out VF5FS. Holding people to word about “next week.” Grats to Russell, Zass, and Cam on their wins.
We will be back next week with the usual. I’ll have more figured out for the stream by then. We’re three weeks away from the next Salty Runback and a month away from EVO. Keep up the grind!
Was there no AE this week?
edit:
Also Loz I saw you on stream for Marvel, I was telling my friends “this guy has a sick Chris”. Shame we didn’t get to see it
We are back tomorrow at GameClucks. Check the first post for details. Stream will be up by 7pm at http://www.twitch.tv/gameclucks with VF5FS and later on, KOF XIII.
No AE last week. Times didn’t line up for people, especially if they’re entered into other games too. Hoping that will be different tomorrow as we have 3 others coming tomorrow who weren’t here last week.

Thank you to everyone who came by. We had 24 entrants and around 30 including those who came just for casuals. KOF was big, AE happened, VF5FS is still new and super legit, and we still play UMvC3. Grats to Duncan, Cole, Femto, and bitq on their wins.
We are finalizing plans for next week and I will update you all when it has been decided. I’ll see some of you at the Seattle Retro Gaming Expo and I hope to see the rest next week!
Replays from last week are up on YouTube.
Tomorrow (Thursday, June 21) we will be back at Dante’s instead of GameClucks. Doors open at 5pm, first tournaments (VF5FS & UMvC3) will take place at 7:30pm. Please note that SFxT and UMvC3 have swapped time for this event in order to accommodate those under 21’s.
If you will be late, please let me know. We do need to be out by a certain point. Also, we could use KOF XIII and some Capcom setups. We will waive venue fee up to the number needed for the event.
Edit: First post has been updated with revised entries. We are planning to have it in-line with our entries in Lynnwood.
