Game Star Arcade - TUSTIN!

I’ll probably be there around 1 or so, this is like less than 5 minutes from my house so I do want to check it out.

Arite, I might see you there then… Ayochip and I will be there…

I was excited to hear that a new street fighter arcade opened up in California but then I realized that it’s not actually an arcade… =( It seems legit for a console gaming place but calling it an arcade is false advertising. Don’t use the name “arcade” for your business if you don’t have any arcade machines.

true… btw, your avatar is fuckin sick.

Wow, they have a shitload of setups! We should definitely support this place.

I didn’t use pad? I had a Tekken 5 arcade stick with me. If anything, I’ll be down to check out this place next week. This place is just a bike ride away for me. See you guys then.

@ $E Money & Fayul

u guys live 5min away, did u guys go to THS?

maybe we could meet i have casuals sometime @ my house…

im class of 2000

Went around 1 today, nobody else was there except two guys on modern warfare, but I had an hour or so free before work so I figured I’d just netplay some Super. Super’s only on the PS3 setups, which are the bigger tvs, and 8 bucks for 90 minutes (soon to be made 8 bucks an hour, but he’s trying toattract new people.) Sticks are provided if you want them, the chairs are comfortable as hell and have sound/vibration/bass. It’s a pretty good place, overall.

Went there my freshman year then transferred to Pacific Coast High School (an independent study place). Class of '07.

**Ayochip and I stopped by today and AyoChip talked with the owner about hosting some events and he seemed down with it, he wanted us to organize our proposals and forward to him soon. We got a contact number and everything… We’re going to try to throw something towards the end of the month like a tournament and maybe a gathering before then. **

FeoMex, I hope you don’t mind if we (might) start a new thread for this… with updates with events and everything because I know you discovered it and all and we all appreciate it… We’ll probably hand over the organizing to one of you tustin locals later on and callaborate… but let us handle stuff for now so it doesn’t get confusing for the owner cuz he’s new to the fight game scene. that place actually is down the street from my dojo that I used to train at haha.

I tried the taco place today, and it was pretty decent. I got steak tacos… I probably give them a 3.5 out of 5, but the price was good for Taco Tuesday. Lots of steak meat as promised.

Like Andrew said, we stopped by and talked to the owner Paul. If you guys get the chance, say hi to him. He seems pretty cool and he also wants to know what other fighting games would be up for tournaments. I told em about Tekken and all those other goodies, but I don’t know the community as well as other people do, so if someone would like to step up, please do. The TV’s lag, but they’re getting wires by the end of the month to cut it down. So for the Grand Opening, Andrew and I will plan something speciall for ALL fighting game communities. Stay tuned you guys.

And again we want to leave it up to the Tustin locals to run this. We just wanna get the ball rolling for you.

P.S. I did all the talking, Andrew just shook his hand.

Lol I gave you credit!!! "AyoChip talked with the owner " Hey man I talked to him too, I told him the reason why we were there because we were from SRK. You handled it though, Alex. Anyways, yes, we wanna get the ball rolling for Tustin and then you guys can handle it from there. :] We’ll collaborate on stuff.

@andrew its koo man.

get the ball rolling. All i want is to also have a community and have some new blood come out of this new place. start a new official thread and inform the owner so he too can reply to the demans of the consumer…

3 out of 5 really? wheres the best taco place u gone to eat?

@Feomex: It was a 3.5!!! :P, I’ve been to various taquerias and a couple that were good but I can’t remember where because EX-GF loved going to tacquerias (half white/half chinese btw) but Taco Factory was pretty decent. Might have to go on yelp or do my own exploring to find some yummy tacquieras. Those random taco trucks are bomb too, there’s this one taco truck in Huntington thats pretty good. $1 for two tacos!

We’ll start a new thread in a bit, and like I want input from everyone who has like ideas and like food hot spots in the area to keep everyone informed there are good choices around them when they head out to Gamestar.

andrew and alex are like little gay buddies now

go back to the sewers turtle!!!

Says the guy playing a greased up, muscular man.

Wow, its look like this place is really launching off pretty well. Andy and Ayochip seem to be doing a lot of work to help organize the place for the community. I officially wish that I live in Orange County already haha. Its coming up soon though. The description of the place sounds a lot like Dreamlab with Game star not being an actual arcade, but more like a lounge type of setup with tv’s from what I hear. I’d definitely be coming here often if it was closer to the Valley. If you guys down in Tustin ever have tourneys or events, I’ll definitely be there to throw down and lend my support. I’ll stay posted.

hai man, oil makes me S+++ tier

Damn, I was hoping for a legit arcade in OC but I guess it’s better than nothing.

Do they have any other fighters?

ALSO: Do they have PCs? Could be worth going if they could get some doujin fighters set up.

Alex Arcade in Santa Ana is a legit arcade in the OC man… check it out they have a bunch of fighters and we’re working on gettin SSF4 over there and we got some good competition. They got MvC2, CvS2, 3rd Strike, Super Turbo, Alpha 2, SF4, KOF 11, pinball machine, fooseball, Midnight Tune, Video Poker w/ other games machine.

Gamestar doesn’t have PCs, only consoles, TVs, and gaming chairs… its more catered to the FPS crowd than anything. but we can change that  well, not really, but at least get some fight game competition out there in SSF4 and T6
