Not sure if this is noticed before, but Cross Arts apparently provides no recoverable health to the opponent when they get hit by them (even depletes it, if any is available).

See Sagat’s lifebar at 5:41. Has recoverable health. When Kazuya triggers the Cross Art, the damage done depletes it and causes every subsequent hit to do permanent damage.

Mmm… looks like something to consider when spending meter.
Maybe that is why the snap back feature was going to be overpowering because supers take away gray/grey damage.

It depends on whether or not close :hk: is a hard knockdown, for example, Cammy’s isn’t, so she can launch of it.
so she can launch off of it under certain conditions?
I seen people launch after a sweep
d3v:
Don’t compare Alpha Counters (which, as the name implies, have been around since SF Alpha) to the breaker mechanic in MK. For one, you cannot use it to get out of a combo. In other words, some guy finds a way to juggle you for more than half your life, then you’ve no choice but to sit back and take it.
I didn’t compare the mechanics to each other. I compared the two only in terms of being a counter mechanic that helps even the playing field for newer players. I know MK’s is far more abusive and stupid (IMO).

Except Alpha Counters have never been a casual mechanic, at least not in the games they’ve been in While they will keep players mindlessly rushing in honest, anyone who knows what they’re doing can easily punish them, especially since you can’t just pull them out at any time like a focus attack.
Might work in a juggle, or with characters like Ibuki who maybe has a target combo after her sweep.

I believe it depends on if the sweep results in a hard knockdown or not.

Wait. What exatly happened that caused the recoverable health to be consumed?
Also, who can’t people simply link to the exact part of the video, instead of giving the link and saying when?
EDIT:
Never mind, moved the video back a few seconds and it was because Lili got tagged in mid combo.
Yeah tag combos consume opponent red life (TTT2) but it doesn’t look like it does in SFxT
I guess its an incentive to use the Tag super.
Seems kinda silly. You rarely see people use a normal tag right now anyways.
Hope this game has no invincibility on back dash or imma be raging

I don’t know how.
There was an example of how to in the post you quoted.
Why does everyone keep calling it Cross Assault? I thought the official name was Bull Shit
Told ya Pandora Mode was X-Factor.
Xfactor were you die if you dont get the kill!
