Yeah, Marvel was not the main attraction initially so we had to bring the hype. It actually got 14 people, 10 of them non-Cleveland, so that’s pretty good, and Harmon & Linwood have really come up – it was all Cle top 5 (besides Fugee, who represents the nation of Season’s Beatings). We had some good matches and I got to taunt on the stream. John buried Fugee in loser’s finals and I got first. John knows his shit. We even had enough interest for a low-tier tourney, which Harmon ran (possibly Linwood helped? I don’t remember)
500-level already? Wow man, keep up the yoi shigoto in ano nihongo. P.S. Since Moses and I talk about SFIV so much, I’ll give you a word I learned yesterday:“gomi” (katakana) = trash. SF4 ga gomi datte sumaranai to stiffu desu!
also if IV is back I might have to get those cartoons out to offset the gomi factor
For anyone curious about this “sekrat sale”, the gamestop at 9781 Vista Way in Garfield Heights is allowed to sell these sticks at half price. I picked up an X360 Marvel stick and a Wii Tatsu stick both at half price! Best of all, if other stores have them, but aren’t allowed to discount, have them ship it to those stores that can discount so you can still score them on the cheap.
Yeah it most definitely is. Just gotta mod for USB (with toodles stuff) to get it to work for PS3 instead of hacking apart an x360 controller and passing signals through that.

I just called and the guy there didn’t seem that cool. I asked if I could get some kind of call or e-mail alert if they restocked on Marvel sticks and he said “we have no way of doing that”. lol seriously huh
I can call a store NOT selling it at a discount and get them to ship to another? Why would they do that – I thought each store is out for blood against others
Maybe the stores closest to you are out for blood, but the only place where stores don’t trade on anything seems to be reservations of future titles. Reserves have more weight than just straight sales with their internal “achievement leaderboards” in this weird company, at least out here on my neck of the woods, but that’s other nonsense.
Anyway, what I meant about shipping is having one store calling another to ship things over. They are much friendlier to their comrades over the phone instead of when customers ask them to do those things. Dunno why, but I had the same demeanor back when I worked retail.

By the way, I’m thinking if you want to say SF4 is boring you could say like, “SF4 wa tsumaranai to stiffu de, gomi da yo!” Which would be like, “SF IV is trash, being so stiff and boring and all.”
Maybe you could also say something like, “Chotto gomi da kedo, ganbatte!” Which I guess could be like “You’re kind of trash, but do your best!” That stuff is probably really broken though.

Watching Sanford/Justin GFs from SB4, got the HDD from Seb. Man I hate whatever mix is on here. We’re gonna have to regulate this year. The matches are pretty awesome though – editing these is gonna take forever uuuuuugh
I don’t know why, but Super Street Fighter IV disappointed me slightly. Yeah it’s still fun, but I guess the hype got to me and I actually had high expectations for a game with just tweaks. The added fun in it is hitting people with an over-dramatic Ultra (aka Metsu Shoryuken), and having other people go ‘OOOOOHH.’ Hopefully I’ll find a used copy after a week or two.
Harmon, I’ll play some HDR with you soon if you’re still up for it. Only reason I haven’t any sooner is because I’m still skeptical about my SE’s buttons being a tad bit unresponsive, and I’m not even going to reach for a fightpad.

It’s the same game. I mean WTF, if you didn’t like WW you wouldn’t like CE – this is the same thing. I’ve been laughing at anyone who was thinking differently for months. If you like SFIV, I’m sure you’ll like Super better. if you think SFIV had potential but big problems, I never really thought Capcom would bother to “fix” a multi-million selling product just because it in fact sucked.
Well I almost agree with that Chris but the SF III series comes to mind. People flat out HATED III NG,and III 2nd I,but loved 3rd Strike,hell i’m one of those people (although I didn’t hate the first 2 just didn’t care for 'em)
