Today is actually the first day we talked about doing SB5, haha. It’s hard to think about what kind of special events we could do this year, but we’ll keep thinking about it. Our goal is within two months to announce a date. A: I’m talking to a personal friend who does video editing for a living about our DVD project, and B: I have a small outside firm to talk with about marketing this year, yeeeea

Not yet – that’s gonna be a job. I forgot to ask my friend how we’re gonna wire the 3P/4P and how much I can do w/o him. I’m seeing him tomorrow though so I’ll ask again. Since we all play WWF I’d rather do the harnesses than start the UMK3 control panel, because I have to repair a capacitor on the UMK3 anyway first to get the sound back.

We’re coming up w/ a solution today for the WWF/Konami harnesses so I can start wiring it. All we have to do is like the existing 3P/4P and add some kind of quick disconnect situation so we can swap between 3P/4P harnesses, he says it’s easy
So everyone’s going crazy down here at OSU. Multiple rapes, attacks, a shooting, etc. all in the same week!
Thankfully I’m coming down there the week after next for Spring Break. Hopefully you guys still do the get togethers? Also I’ll be sure to bring you your flash drive with the game center stuff, Chris.

I was working on mine last month, and I just HB’d my friend’s Wii but after only like 15 min of trying, I couldn’t get USB loader working on his either.
Let me know your schedule – I’m just doing game night every two weeks and next week Wed I’m having dinner with my uncle, but if you aren’t around on the 24th, we’ll set up an alternate game night that week, cool?
P.S. Tomorrow, games start at 7 instead of 6.
And yeah, Fugee and I decided we should do another SB. No real details yet on what we wanna do this year, outside of I’m trying to get someone who video edits by trade to take on the DVD job, and we want to market and publicize it more.

Yeah, I played FFX, but seeing as how I could tell they were making less and less a game out of them and more of movies with stories I didn’t like, I hung up Japanese RPGs, since they all want to be FF as well. I discovered Western RPGs right around then too, which are a lot more fun IMO. Closest I get to JRPGs now is 16 and 32-bit oldies
Although a Sakura Wars game finally got translated and is coming out this month, haha, that’s one JRPG I’d play. Although I’d rather play the originals anyway on Saturn when my Japanese is more upgraded

First off, damn I wish I did’t work 3rd so I could come play wrestlefest with you all. Second, two weeks in a row the person who normally hosts games here has cancelled. Maybe this is why its so hard to have a scene in Akron? Third, I would be more than happy to host, however me hosting means we play things on ps2 and we use my namco sticks. If anyone in interested I would be more than happy do host, just need to know when. :rolleyes:

Although, I think my Saturn Still works I don’t own any fighters for it so that stick won’t get much use haha.

btw, speaking of what you were saying about SSFIV basically being the same game w/ some new characters and Sagat minor nerfs (although no s.lk XX tiger is big – but they should have followed HDR and not put it in in the first place) – hasn’t anyone noticed that they named this game after the worst SF2? I can’t think of any bigger bad omen in a Capcom fighter than the word “Super”.
It sounds like some of Ryu’s bullshit got abolished, that’s cool though.
If they made the game faster, fix block strings, close the reversal window, change the terrible backgrounds and music, redo all the really ugly characters models, change Random Guess Move/Trade --> ULTRA I might actually give the game a chance. Sounds like they fixed like a couple of those.
