I mostly use Chun nowadays… Chun vs. Yun (and also Chun vs. Fei) is pretty much a nightmare. The divekicks are more annoying that Rufus’ divekicks because there is a command grab to worry about as well (at least no EX messiah though). The most annoying thing about Yun is that he can basically get in on you for free; you can’t AA his divekicks and even if you manage to zone him with fireballs and max range pokes so that he can’t force you to block a divekick, he can EX lunge to be in your face with +4 frame advantage (leading to a throw/DP mixup as well) which even if you guess your way out of he can divekick you for free after you tech the throw.
The good thing is that his low health allows you to pretty much win the round off of two blocked DP’s or baited anything. I try to win by just keeping him out because I haven’t found a viable safejump setup and because if you try to get in his face you eventually have to try to bait a reversal at which point he just starts divekicking you and then you realize you were better off just chilling full screen and waiting for him to make some kind of mistake while you build meter.
I’ve played against him as Ken, Boxer, Dhalsim, Rose, and Guile, but I don’t play any grapplers. Ken feels alright vs. Yun because you can AA some divekicks with DP. Boxer is alright, neutral jump fierce beats out divekicks and lunge punches. You can also EX upper on reaction to certain dive kick ranges and then link into headbutt if you time it so that you hit him as he lands. Dhalsim is shit vs. Yun, just like Rufus matchup basically except it’s even harder to keep him out.
It costs like $0.16 per play in China because the RMB isn’t worth anything. I can play all day for like $8.
If you’ve got a place to stay and a ride to Alma from that place, and are cool with coming back on Monday early morning as opposed to Sunday night then yeah, I can take you.
I don’t live at my house when I go on weekends otherwise I’d say you could stay there.

EDIT2: looks like Gator Gaming has nothing planned as far as FGs, as usual. They might as well rename the group since even a game like CoD doesn’t get enough of their attention lol.
Blaz Blue had awesome netcode right? I’m thinking of picking it up if the scene doesn’t disappear. I’m so sick of playing sf4 and marvel and seeing the game pause for a good 5 seconds, regaining control 2 seconds after my opponent, etc.
Rob, CT (Vanilla BB) did but CS (Super equivalent of BB) didn’t. But they’re supposedly fixing the netcode.
It’s gonna be hard for me and Petey to get back into that game though, a few days ago we played it for lols and we just had this “wtf are we doing” expression after 5 mins.
If you guys start playing BB again, I’ll have a reason to play. I’ve had my copy for a couple months and only played it twice. My brother doesn’t want to play it. I mained Litchi when CT came out and I guess she’s top tier in this game.
Once AH3 comes out, I’ll probably play that a bunch at Nick’s and get awesome with Kira.
Lol you guess she’s top tier? She’s the best character in CS1. Combos last for 45 seconds, then you are put in a 50/50 situation, then another 45 second combo…ggs. Thank god she is getting nerfed in CS2.
Wish I could have made it yesterday but Publix owns my life. Six closing shifts in a row. Normally I wouldn’t go in until 3 but somehow they probably knew that to end the chance of me doing anything fun for the weekend I had to come in at 2 Sunday so I couldn’t even stop by.

Hey man, when you coming back to the states? That is awesome you can play for so cheap over there. Has SF made any gains in popularity or is it still mostly KoF?
On a side note I have been messing around in 3s training mode and finally got Urien’s tackle tackle headbutt to work. Can’t do it consistently yet but better than last time when we couldn’t figure it out.
AH3 comes out tomorrow for PSN right? Still debating whether I should get it considering 1. I use a brain-dead character, 2. I’m actually interested in MK9 lol and 3. now there’s rumors of a KOFXIII console release.
EDIT: not to mention the time I need so I’m not completely free at all those games.
Yeah it comes out tomorrow…I dont know how much it’ll cost but I’m guessing around the 15-20$ range. But it would be cool if you got AH3, seeing as KOFXIII isn’t gunna be released until the end of summer or something. Speaking of KOF I keep forgetting to bring 2002UM to the gatherings…try to remind me when rob posts the next time we meet XD
I’m hyped for and will be picking up MK9 tomorrow. Doesn’t seem like too many of you here care much about it, but we’ll see. I didn’t really play much SF growing up, was mostly MK. (And Tekken, in the PS1 days…and really, only Marvel 2/a dash of Tekken in the arcades later on)
I’m definitely down to play MK9 it’s just not on my list of must-have-games right now. If you bring it the next time we all get together then I’m sure it’ll incentive for people to also pick it up (if they like it or not lol)
