Hey Rob, DJ is actually good in AE.
The whole E.Ryu/Oni novelty wore off for me already so unless some crazy stuff it’s discovered I’m only trying Yang also. Maybe Yun if I’m in a tier whoring mood.
But what’s probably gonna happen is that I’ll try anyone with significant buffs: I can actually do a thing or two in the game unlike Marvel.
Where’s Dee Jays hundred hand slap? Where’s his command grab? I dunno… I just love my sumo wrestler.
I thought I read somewhere that Honda is supposed to be good against the twins and fei long, but garbage against everyone else…
I dunno… I’ll probably end up playing whatever everyone else wants to play.
honda is so lame rob
Anybody here also going to FR and wanna share a room? I’ll pay my part for the room and gas if I’m not driving there.
Dive kick shenanigans are lame Petey.
Hamilton: I’m going to final round and staying at my friend’s apt in atl. I can take one more person with me, but I already asked matt. If he can’t go for some reason you’re welcome to come crash with me at my friend’s place.
Alright Rob, thanks.
My main got a million buffs haha. I don’t think AE changes were even announced at the time I started SSF4. Unless Hugo gets added as a character, I’ll be sticking to Makoto. Funny thing is, Makoto wasn’t even in my top 3 when I played (Hugo, Alex & Necro). I used pretty much every character though so its hard for me to rank my characters. I started playing Super really late into its lifespan and was like “Well Makoto is a really good character in 3S, how is she in this game?” and my friends all laughed and said she was awful. I decided to stay with her though, cause I just enjoy her fighting style.
if anyone thinks makoto is ass they havent played gen
Gen’s Top 3, he has 2 fighting styles. Seems pretty overpowered to me.
Hm… Gen has a hands combo…
That’s it, switching to gen for ae. Y’all are fucked.
4 ultras! how is that fair? everytime gen goes into ultra animation i have no idea what is going to happen next
Who’s going to FR anyways? It’s gonna be a game time decision for me…cuz it’s 7 hrs from where I am now. And even if I do go, I’ll probably just be there on the last day to see the finals and spend the rest of the time hanging out with other friends who I know up there.
Seriously, it’s even worst when you can’t tell when he’s got the low-jump-stance so it feels like you’re playing against a KOF character with good hops. -_-
Oh yeah, forgot to mention… I probably can’t stay long sunday since I have an 8am class the next day. So… if you were planning on staying for the finals then you probably shouldn’t ride with me!
I’m probably riding there myself, that’s not a problem, and I have class at 7 so I have to worry even more about being back early.
Petey, you can take the bus if you’re sticking around for the finals.
stfu hamilton
So do you have to pay to even enter the building, or is it just paying to enter the tournament? I’m kinda interested in going, and since everyone else wants to go it doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
$30 to enter and watch if you register before 3/1.
$10 entry fee for every game.
Yeah, I think you have to pay just to get in. Price depends on when you register too, kinda sucks but that’s organized tourneys for you…
EDIT: Rob, are you signing up for Marvel? I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to competitively learn the game in less than a week and a lot of people are gonna be rusty at Super, but I’m still undecided.
Rob what time were you think about leaving on Friday? Cause I think the beginning of the AH3 pools are that like at 5pm.
