Hey i don’t think i’ll be going to the Tallahassee competition. I am going to the Mia tourney. I’m meeting up with a friend in Orlando who I play online with and we are going together, and one of my friends who I met at CEO has a perfectly working converter so I shall be using his.

Hey guys there’s going to be a game over tournament thursday july 7th i believe. Here’s the facebook link. I sent a few of you some links. But you have to email the guy to apply for a tournament and i believe it’s free. It seems like all there will be alot of free casual players there. But it might be good to get some people into the scene and stuff or just meet people in general so just letting people know about some stuff. Or maybe if the people from gator gaming are there we could talk to them more about building up the scene more or stuff besides the meetups such as streaming stuff or whatnot etc.
My ps3 is broken actually. Trying to save up some extra cash to get it repaired. Glad you are back in the states again. Hope you can make it down here soon!

Fighting games take forever to finish thanks to late registering, shitty communication (or lack of), even shittier bracket planning and strategies that some characters HAVE to use to win (time overs/turtling).
If CEO was your first tourney, then don’t expect this one to be smooth sailing.
O ok. And yeah CEO was my first tourney. The one thing I was most worried about which I heard alot (especially from DSP lol). Was that places would be cramped and smelly with people not wearing deodorant and stuff lol. THat’s why i bought some ax spray. Gladly i never needed to take it out and use it at the place haha.
Since i’ve only played SF only a few times i’m going to go in and pick yun (if they have AE) and just do dive kicks all day haha

But yeah, looking at the list right now there are just over 60 people planing on attending. I’m sure there will be some no shows, not everyone out of those 60 people will be playing, so it could go rather quick. I’m definitely be there to recruit some new blood.
Yeah I know it’s kinda taboo at least for some SRK members to mention DSP since i know alot of people in the FGC hate on him lol but I find his vids hilarous. But yeah hope we have a good turnout of people to be there. If i see any people part of Gator Gaming i’ll try and see if i can talk to them too.
I’m usually busy on thursday nights but I’ll try to make it too.
So, I had no idea there was a Gainesville scene. I just usually played by myself and tried to convince my friends just to try a fighting game with me. Reading through the thread it seems like most of you guys are probably better than me, but I wouldn’t mind getting blown up a bit while I learn if you all wouldn’t mind me joining up. I will say the only current game I’ve been playing right now is marvel, but I did have a short and sweet affair with Tekken 6 until the one friend I had who liked fighting games moved to Orlando. And I haven’t touched SFIV since Vanilla but I wouldn’t mind picking it back up.
Also, I’m planning on going to that facebook event (perhaps with a friend in tow. He likes marvel, but hasn’t played much else) so maybe I’ll see/meet some of you there.
Cool stuff! We aren’t the best there is or anything, but any we hope to see you and your friend at the event.
