Yeah, it’s a weird series. Gargoyle’s Quest is on GB, Gargoyle’s Quest II is on NES and is on Gameboy too but only in Japan, and then Demon’s Crest is on SNES. I hope putting him in means that Capcom might revitalize the series, since they’re all supposedly really good but I never got the chance to play them. I hope the same rings true for Arthur and GnG.
What if they made a game where Arthur and Firebrand team up in the most unlikely of alliances. At the very least I can put them on the same team in UMvC3.
They did bring back GnG. Unfortunately, the new GnG games are iPhone games.
I played Demon’s Crest when I was kid during summer vacation. Awesome game that needs more love. I do hope Capcom makes a new one. It would make for an awesome downloadable game.
I’m definitely going to go buy those right now, thanks for the heads up! Hopefully they make a new game for a console with buttons one of these days.

His 'drag you across the ground and kick you to wall" attack reminds me a lot of Karas from TvC chain shenanigans, except Firebrand actually does damage, has real projectiles, and can fly. Jeebus!

It’s going to be a dream come true to play Arthur and Firebrand on the same team. I really hope this means a reboot for the Demon’s Crest series. Can’t wait to see the other characters in action to like Nemesis, Dr.Strange and Frank West. Capcom’s hitting home runs.
Firebrand looks pretty good from what we’ve seen cuz of his relaunches, his flight, and his easy cross up attacks(the dive move that he does that looks like its from GnG) and his otg hyper & projectiles and his power up mode to enhance all of his moves and his lvl 3 to help his cross ups and his combos(like felicia). Overall i see him being as good as Wesker Taskmaster and other top tiers
I think it would be funny if Arthur stags being one of the worst characters in the game, and Firebrand ends up being one of the best.
Since Capcom’s MO is to make the characters as similar to their game/comic incarnations as possible, I’m calling it now that Firebrand is going to end up being a much higher tier in comparison to Arthur. Seriously, that guy is at least a 7-3 matchup in GnG.
out of the 4 new characters revealed Firebrand looks easily the best. The guy literally had all the tools you would want in a character. Plus he is a red fucking dragon thingy and that to me is cool lol. As a natural tier whore, his cheapness has me interested the most out of the 4 right now and will be looking to put him on some sort of squad.
People say he looks really good, but the range/reach of his normals seem to be weak. I mean compare him to like dante or zero where their sword attacks have larger range than all his normals. If he isn’t fast enough to get inside these normals his lack of priority might make getting in with him difficult solo.
I think thats why he has his kitty helper lvl 3 to help him deal with that or his projectile that travels across the ground

Firebrand looks like a very very very capable fighter. Very good mobility decent health and damage and tons of options. Looks like his odd angled diving move where he keeps flying can start up combos… I think im scared of this guy already.
I’m sure his Hell Spitfire is his OTG, and the demon missile downward is him doing a downward dash attack.
