There’s so many strategies for him in MVC2 it’s not even funny. LEARN it first. That’s exactly what I was talkin about. Esh: in BB it’s used to gain an advantage with one button. Launching is used to get a combo advantage on your opponent and is used for a lot of setups. In MVC3 it does more than just launch. Iggy: I’m not shittin on you and I understand what you’re saying. Sentinel was ridiculous in MVC2. He had so many tools like unfly, which could be activated if he got hit. This high low game was beyond scarey, and guessing wrong could kill your entire team. He could also fast fly to commando for a guranteed 50-60% combo which required no meter at all. He was also insanely hard to get in on, since he can just fast fly lazer accross the screen. Whether you choose to want to believe it or not, Sentinel has a major nerf in MVC3. In MVC2, Sentinel could flat out outdamage most of the cast, and convert random moves into meterless half life damage.
Edit: I also played EVERY versus game. I didn’t start out with MVC2 like you probably did. From a retrospective look, MVC3 isn’t as bad compared to other versus games, most notably XvSF. The only game that was tamer was Marvel vs SF, but that game was stupid. MVC3 understands that everyone needs to do big damage to compete. This was a huge problem with MVC2, not enough people did reasonable damage. Many low tier teams had to rely on some gimmick or high damage assist (like tron) to compete with god tiers damage output

Sentinel is not that fuckin hard to get in on. I guess magneto is there just to twiddle his thumbs hunh? I guess Cable is drinking tea. I guess Storms priority don’t mean shit. I guess Iron Mans Fierce reach is for balancing plates. I guess Kens AA is for installing light bulbs. There’s a TON of people who can get sentinel fast. Just because YOU don’t have the skill to doesn’t mean it’s necessarily HARD to.
