Guile/Sagat match up makes me want to blow my head off:sweat:

I feel the same way about the Boxer mirror.
on another note:
MvC3 is the new Self Esteem fighter…IM SO GROSS DAWG!!!
So… What i’m hearing is Pool Match runback '11?
Headin to ATL today, see you guys shortly. Gametime
this thread is great!
on execution and practicing… do you normally get better the more you attempt a combo in training mode non stop, or do you have to take breaks? it seems the more i work at a combo, the more sloppy/confused the inputs get (like over 10 mins straight), but when i take a break and come back the next day, it’s easier to perform on the first run than it was on the 100th run previously. i was watching porkchop’s video and it looked like he was getting progressively better the more he attempted the combo.
I think its probably more about the methods you’re using. Combos in MVC3 are deliberate enough that you can really visually watch the characters positions and adjust your timing to control the combo’ed character on the fly. MvC2 that was still necessary, but it was at a much more frantic pace that you kind of just had to run with it. You’re probably starting to get frustrated and paying more attention to slamming on the buttons in order and not watching the characters as closely.
This definitely happened to me when I was trying to practice Chun’s JC loop off c.H , at first I was just getting pissed and trying to mash out the LMMHS but once I started focusing more on watching the actual character I could do it consistently, even on chars like Ammy
This thread is a constant source of fun
@Ike
Good thing we have more than one setup, b/c I’d rather watch paint dry than you and kent play that matchup
repitition of failed attempts after a point in one sitting tends to get sloppier.
you can take a short break from it or go to something completely different input wise for a few minutes, then come back to it.
& lol im getting into it w/a guy from my friends list who is salty as fuck about the matches we had. apparently people dont like it when you dont let them combo morrigan to death :amazed:
im comfortable w/it, but he just refuses to admit the timeouts are because we both suck @ finishing aka nubcakes.
thx, i’ll try to use visual cues and take small breaks. lol, i was actually gettin a lil pissed and hitting the buttons harder than usual. i was trying to get morrigan’s drill loop going and i must’ve been out of it last night. quit and played need for speed:hp, then woke up this morning and i could do the half i was having issues with. weird. o.o
Sometimes it’s hard to figure out who the most delusional person is that visits the GA thread
dunno about delusional… i wanna be the most darkness illusional (in air OK)
sorry got rained out of work, im bored
I can’t go to work today due to rain.
I want to get some games in,who’s at home bored like me??
yeah, it’s pretty bad outside. almost like night. i still had to come to work tho T_T. days like this i want to stay at home and do nothing… or at least play ps3.
Dude, those matches last night… Nathan’s like a mindgame all on his own with how frustrating to catch he is. I really want to get deadpool off my team, but I haven’t had enough time to pick anyone else up really besides Sent but I’m trying to avoid using him.
I’ve had almost no time to practice, but hopefully I can get a some time and improvement in before Friday.
maxxmana: felt like your vibe was a lil off last night
still fun tho man ggs
i feel like it all boils down to whether or not i can keep the dog off me
tho i was pleased w/that air photonarray vs you on ground dhc into morrigan ground combo relauncher, first time ive landed that in a fight
also pick the bucketofbolts if you want, hes a huge target :karate:
@iceman: see my post above yours, same deal. morrigan “bitchplay” & some level1 arm into level1 arm is in full effect presently
Ah, back in the days, when staying at home meant you didn’t have to work. Too bad staying at home means nothing to me, since I have the same access and can do the same work no matter where I am. As a matter of fact they encourage you work at home, because most of the time you end up working longer days at home than you do at the office.
its cheaper that way in IT. offices are starting to become a costly overhead that’s not needed. i’d prefer to be @ home b/c there’s more to do in idle time than just sit in this cubicle and read character threads.
Yo get a solid lobby bro I am on the way and I am recording, I want to try and stream it but im still running test on this new program
Edit-Nevermind, for those at home with nothing to do…
Live matches going up right now ladies and gentlemen, enjoy seeing the cards bounce lol
Actually the company I was laid off from a few years back now closes the office every Friday and make everyone work from home. Simply because of the power bill. They also outsourced all divisions that had weekend work out to India, and merged several different departments. And they made many positions completely remote positions. I have an old co-worker who is still there, and she said the office is mainly empty.
And I feel you on those character threads. I live in the Magneto thread in my off time. And yet I still can’t do any combos with him, which sucks. At home I guess you don’t have to quickly minimize your SRK everytime you hear someone walk by your desk.
i wanna play. i need to figure out my 3rd character >.<
@branh - i did find out a few things i didn’t know. i didn’t know that morgan’s standing L hits low and her crouching doesn’t. i guess the good news is that i only have about 4 hrs left =/ when i had the psp, i could play tekken @ work
i’m watching the stream from my evo and m rooting for iceman to go on a 20 win streak to minimize how long i have to watch cards bounce.
damn… he just told doom F YO SUPER
