fuck soldering GET QUICK CONNECTS!!! It’s so much easier to change out button and switches if you put quick connects on imo. Man i’m starting to get use to my TE stick. I even custom it also.

your right disconnects are better and thats what i use in my stick but you have to solder the wire on to the pcb that leads to the disconnects. i mean i hate soldering right on to the switches but sometimes there are no disconnects on hand.
im modding a TE,ex2 and custom stick to play on ps2/ps3/360 look out for that soon

Yes, they are making more, Madcatz has stated they are trying to meet demand on these, but there’s a bit issue with parts right now. If you’ve been following the threads in Tech Talk, Per (owner of Akihabarashop) said that Sanwa couldn’t even supply JLFs for a while there to many smaller vendors. SF4 has caused a very large spike in demand for sticks, parts, etc. The chances of you walking into a store and just picking one of these up is still really small, but I’d keep an eye on the madcatz site to see if they make an announcements for stock.
You can unscrew those microswitches and replace any one of them (or all of them). If you use quick disconnects on the tabs, its about a two minute job. If you wires are soldered directly to the tabs, you’re going to need to either:
- de-solder the wire and solder it to the new tab
or - just cut the wire close to the solder point, strip a little more sheathing, and re-solder (or crimp a QD, my recommendation).
