Then it would be cvs2 without roll cancels and you know how most of the people throughout the entire community hated that version of cvs2.
I liked it, but everyone was sick of low FP wars with blanka, sagat, cammy’s RH kick. There is no fucking way you should have a gaurd meter with the ability to use an ULTRA that does atleast 50% damage! Gaurd meters don’t belong in street fighter imo. That’s cool for cvs and alpha games but not for a true street fighter game imo.
IMO there’s 3 things that should NEVER be in a true sf game and those are:
- Gaurd meters: Here’s the simple logic on how sf works people.
A. Blocking beats normals attacks if blocked in the correct fashion.
b. Throws beat blocking. if they are sitting there too much then toss them to death!
c. Special moves beat normal attacks and throws if used properly.
If you can’t get someone from blocking without a gaurd meter then you need to learn how to throw better. You don’t need a built in gaurd system to get people out of turtling. With a gaurd meter people just throw out stupid shit just to break your gaurd. This makes characters without good pokes or with slow walking speed have a huge disadvantage because it’s easier to walk in and out of people’s attack zones with fast annoying characters.

custom combo’s=aka v-ism, a-groove, genijen, CC’s in a2. Whenever they are in a game they are the best option and it fucks up the balance of the game imo. They are fun to do, but when you have a game full of several groove’s or ism’s it seems like the custom ability is alway over powering for traditional sf gameplay. By pressing 2 buttons you can blow through someone’s super or normals to do some custom. Very cool concept, but I don’t care for it because that makes the gameplay of the game around building super meter than fighting imo.

Two button normal throws: They are for 3d moving games only imo. Your normal throw should NEVER BE BETTER THAN A SPECIAL THROW! FUCKING NEVER IN A REAL STREET FIGHTER!!!
IMO customs and gaurd meters should NEVER be in the same game, but they usually are. The only reason I played cvs2 was because I love playing blanka in any game, but it got old really quickly for me.
The only thing about SF4 that feels retarded is that every character in the game has no answer to crossups. A little overpowering. And to be blindly crossing someone up is a newbie thing. I could tax the hell out of someone for that in ST, but not so much anymore. This is the first game where crossups seem really dangerous.
I also have hard time judging distances. Still have a difficult time knowing the max distance of my normal, but maybe I’ll know this better when I play the game more. I personally haven’t touched in in two weeks.
Oh and snti-airs are nerfed in this game. But this goes back to my distancing issues. In ST I could figure out what AA what based on distance. So much hsrder to judge with characters that aren’t Dhalsim.

I agree that anti air moves have been nerfed in sf4 and I don’t like that. EX version of anti air’s are the only realible version for most characters.

Its a little confusing at first, but once you trace the wires back and realize whats going where, its pretty simple overall.
Then it just comes to a matter of how messy the wiring is to figure out what lead is going where, and where the grounds are
