People say the Economic Stimulus plan is great for all parties who recieve benefits from it does that mean the arguement stops there… What about the backlash of recieving the benefits, the long term, what about 15 20 years from now, the same way you would investigate and put forth the effort to drive such a compelling arguement, since this is a site about our gaming community and games in general, why not put forth the very same effort when posting back and forth about how this game sucks and this one doesn’t… in your opinion.

Alright, Lobelia…if calling you “she-boy” offended you that deeply then I take it back and apologize. Someone’s sexuality has no grounds as an attack in a debate and that was wrong of me.
However, what I DON’T take back is calling you ignorant for saying stuff like “Wong doesn’t play GG or SNK” when OBVIOUSLY he does. Hell, if you even went to the last Impact Clash you would have seen Wong not only enter but WIN GG and the SNK stuff* in person*.
Maybe you think I “harass” you because you’re a transexual but that’s the farthest thing from my mind. My problem is with you and others (not here but everywhere in general) spreading false info on things you know NOTHING about.
Frankly, I’m a little tired of people slamming the EX series in favor of SF4 when it is a fact that SF4 actually owes quite a bit to the games. I hear it from top to bottom, I even read Seth Killian himself slam EX quite blatantly when Game Informer interviewed him right when SF4 came out. Whatever happened to giving credit where credit is due?
I can understand that the EX series was a failure with the hardcore community and thus garnered a nasty reputation in the scene. From a business perspective, it would be common sense for Seth & Capcom to distance themselves as far as possible from the EX series in marketing SF4.
There are a lot of legitimate complaints about the games (especially the excels in EX2), but what grates on me is that the main complaints are petty and superficial or based on false info (“floaty jumps”, “laggy animation” when if you played the game for 5 minutes–and not on some laggy emulator–it would be obviously untrue).
That’s probably what I should clarified in the first place. Sorry for hijacking your thread, guys.

I didn’t say Wong doesn’t play SNK games. I know that he plays them. I did not know that he played Guilty Gear, and that’s my bad. To be fair, I don’t pay attention to that game and haven’t for a while, so I really shouldn’t have opened my mouth about it.

1st of all if you are really a rapper, get your spelling game up, 2nd of all nigga ive been to evo twice. ive been in school so im sorry if i dont attend GATHERINGS or the other tourneys around here just thought education was more important, and i dont have to make a valid POINT about EX3 because the gaming community around the world makes my point. what other SF game around is NOT played besides that bullshit EX series and that damn SF MOVIE GAME? NONE. every sf game has appealed to each sf fan in some way whether it be the alpha series, sf3, or sf2. so what happened with the ex series? it sucked bro. simple as that.
That isn’t entirely fair. The problem with the Street Fighter EX series is that it had a very low-key release and wasn’t part of the Street Fighter series proper. The graphics were also horrendous, even for their time, which was extremely off-putting to those who were used to the crisp visuals offered in games like the Street Fighter Alpha series.
To answer your question of what Street Fighter games aren’t played, I would say that Street Fighter Alpha(the first one), Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition, and Street Fighter III: New Generation were all released to lukewarm reception and didn’t have much in the way of competitive communities.

Wait, if people think I was hounding them about the EX issue, I apologize. I didn’t mean to hound anyone. But I brought up a opinion about SF4 that I can back up, and I believe to be valid. Now when I compared to EX3, people began to jeer and make light of me. And when I asked why people thought this way, they gave me a ton of ad hominems and straw mans. And then people have the audacity to tell me go somewhere else (?) Tell me things like SFEX is not taken seriously on these forums? That people will roll their eyes, and somehow that excuses their lack of arguments?
Is this not a forum to express opinion? And then despite the fact I’m remaining civil, I get flack from a 09’ member who only talks up and down about SF4 24/7…but yet can’t offset that by explaining his hate of EX or even like for his own game. 
My point is, I never hear people’s complaints about the series, and when I do, they don’t make sense. EX has such a solid engine and depths to its gameplay, that for now at least, it puts SF4 to shame. Its true, I don’t like ST, but I’d rather play that than SF4. Check the interviews (I’ll link everyone when/if I find them). Straight from the horse’s mouth - the game was actively made to appeal more to casual players with mechanics set for more hardcore audiences set in as an afterthought. Its not really bad per’ se; its good because it will probably expand the interest in the genre and get people into fighters again. But the game itself bores me quickly and just does not have much meat to it. I would be really surprised if it had some dark depths to be discovered and retained serious play years from now, but I could be wrong.
ReturnOfShiki - About people explaining why they like SF4 so much, I wondered that as well - I’d be interested as to why people are content with the old ass gameplay combined with a grab-bag of stuff from EX and SF3…additionally I see a few mechanics (like the rage meter) that just seem to foster scrub tactics. Also, so JWong does play Vampire Savior?
