my best guess is his name recognition and fanboy enthusiasm for it. he also has alot of connections to stunt people, which is clear that the action looks great so far.
i mean i trust him than a random dude outta nyu right now.
Nothing good has come to this franchise since the beloved awesomeness that was the Marvel series.
The only way to make a good G.I. Joe movie is to make one based on one of the Marvel arcs, and not deviate from it.
Depends on people’s taste. Outside of the comics, the Valor vs. Venom series, Resolute, and Renegades(Yes I know people are put off by the A-Team’esque stuff with the show) were pretty good efforts. First movie was pretty decent and was enjoyable.
im a lil mad about renegade. i went to joe con last year cause it was local…and they hyped renegade to be sumtin alot different. they made it seem like it was gonna be like johnny quest style animation…while they build the team. they def didnt make it seem like a a-team ripoff.
The A-team aspect of Renegade never bothered me. I’m always down for someone to do something different with the Joe mythos. The animation grew on me over time. If i’m not mistaken is it made by the same people that did the MIB cartoon?
it just didnt make sense to me to make everyone a baby compared to lady jaye and snake eyes.
Looks like dumb fun. Are they making a sequel to Resolute?

New Snake Eyes costume and Byung Hun Lee returning as Storm Shadow drives my hype level up.
Liking the traditional Cobra look, was also hoping id see Firefly.

You pretty much nailed my post right there, I enjoyed the first one despite some of the dislike, and I’m disappointed with the cast changes, but everything else should be kosher, I maintain my ‘as excited as I can be about an action movie sequel’ face.

I’d rather see the Rock and Bruce Willis for 90 minutes than Marlon Wayans and that unbearable douche bag Channing Tatum for half that long.
I hope they don’t bring back those robo suits. Dumbest part by far in the last movie.

I like Snake Eyes mask better in this new one. More ninjas is awesome, especially the return of Storm Shadow. I also liked the Scarlet? actress in Friday Night Lights (she was in the canceled Wonder Woman also), she should do great in this movie. Rock and Bruce Willis will be 100x more entertaining than can’t-act Tatum.

I’m just glad they got rid of the awful CC mask/helmet from the first one. It’s the only problem I had it with that movie. When I saw it, I was like WTF is going on?! That ain’t CC! That ain’t CC I tell ya! >:( :annoy:

LOL. Considering the casualty rate for ALL of the G.I.Joe 1st gen cartoons, I wouldn’t worry. They can’t even hit the inside of a barn with the weather dominator.
