Does ne1 here still face Juggys? if so, this mite help, and maybe youll even pick the character I am about to mention up, since he is on a roll. If not, then I guess this is a useless post, butnonetheless funny.
I play a few ppl who use Mike Z Juggy team or Juggernaut random team. Normally they put him on point and power up to switch, but with Anakaris, he is effectively stopped. I hang in the air with Anakaris, then spam Phraoah Curse. I guess thats all there is to it, nothing special, maybe others have found it. But Juggy cant get out of it, making it a trap.
Juggy is so dam big and slow, that he CANNOT avoid the 3 Curses on the screen at all, and depeinding on who his assist his, the assist cant cover him, mostly because he is in consecutive block stun mode, and push blocking does shit all. I literally sat in the corner for 40 game seconds and chipped juggy to death.
On Sentinel, I haven’t tried yet, on a count of him being faster than Juggy, but I am pretty sure that Anakaris can pin down Sent like that, I will test it and get back to you all.
Any way, whether u liked or hated this post i like to hear any opininos or random hating :P.
O maybe htey could try Variable countering in, but then that just fucks up their guy coming in, becaue he will eat the next Curse that comes on by and set him up for Pharoah Curse Infinite or Hyper Viper HOrdes or Pharoah Illusion, or switch in for a Mags infinite
also this is stupid, but i love doing this to a jugg player when i get them in block stun with mag. lp, lp, lp, lp,lp, c.lk+ assist, c.mk, into whatever,
jugg sucks, you dont really need any tricks to do him damage. just pick anyone with an infinite, like magneto or iron man, and destroy the switched in character. theres alot of shit jugg cant get around, strider can just throw birds/dogs from across the screen and there’s not a damn thing he can do about it
well if you throw an assist with the birds and dogs then maybe, but he can power up and get a free tag there since the dogs and birds don’t break his super armor, or he can headcrush strider as well if you didn’t throw an assist out.
IMO jugg is simply the another 1 hit = Massive damage character, with doom/tron he is a pain to deal with, but that makes it fun.
a friend of mine plays jugg/rogue/tron, i fucking miss time a tri jump, tron hits, and he headcrushes me to death, or he powers up, tag, free combo on his rogue, then i deal with a 40% rogue, with tron, and fighting that with mss is annoying.
jugg is actually a dangerous character if the oppenent guess right on weather to rush or turtle at the right times. if so, then he can bitch to deal with unless you are playing as stated strider/doom, spiral/sentinel or doom lol, Storm/sentinel, or Cable/doom or sentinel, anything that pins and chips hurts his game plan, but the whole 1 hit = massive damage thing balances his lack of mobility tho.
not true, he cant headcrush strider from across the screen throwing animals, strider recovers in time to block it. he cant get around animals unless he has some sort of assist to help him out like drones. hes only dangerous to strider if strider wants to fight him and risk getting headcrushed if he doesnt trap him correctly.
actually that depends on how early jugg does the headcrush, if you say that he does the head after he sees the animal midscreen then yeah i think strider will recover in time due to the animal slowing him down.
HOWEVER, if let’s say jugg does a UME(psychic) headcrush, right when strider calls the animal, then i believe he will get fucked up.
intersting think about jugg vs strider.
lets say strider teleports over jugg and calls doom.
jugg can do s.hp to put strider in block stun or hit stun depending on the time that he hit strider, and then do power up+ doom or tron to cancel the rocks.
this is of course if we are talking team z tho. lol
The Variable Counter Ryu, Ken, Cammy and whatnot will usually eat the Curse if they try to cancel their variable with a super since its still in their face as they PASSED through it. If they decide not to, and land, then they still eat a Free Combo
Does dog/bird break juggs super armor? If not couldn’t you just call assist/juggernaut punch throw the dogs and birds? With juggernaut it’s just a waiting game really, try not to get chipped to death and almost constantly super jump towards your opponent, either to try to get some offense in, get in headcrush range, or cover your assist. (watch out for cross ups)
Key Normals:
J. HP
C. LK
S. HP
J. HP is good for air to air trades, C. LK has hella range, hits low, and easily comboes into S. MP (better range) or S. HP (more damage) into headcrush. A early S. HP has alot of vertical range. Don’t forget your Bat-Dad splash (HCF + K), it can throw off your opponents timing when using the short version and can hit a opponent who thought he was safely out of juggernaut’s J. HP range. It’s a move to be used sparringly and with assists whenever possible, don’t go bat dadding everything in sight.
Learn reversal-like timing for your head crushes, and learn which moves either have A) Enough recovery frames B) Enough start up frames or C) You can reliably blow through.
At certain distances you can blow right through mag’s shockwave, sentinels HSF, and through countless projectiles in order to punish your opponent. You obviously won’t get these opportunities often, but you have to be able to take advantage of them when they do come up. Also learn good glitch tricks so you can get the juggy glitch active without getting your balls lopped off in the process. (most obvious is: Power Up, Head Crush from full screen away, DHC into a safe super before you even touch your opponent’s character, use Juggs as a assist until your point character dies)
That’s all of the top of my head on Juggs. He isn’t that bad if you have patience and can get the glitch active. Solid middle tier character.
If they throw out a random HSF from around midscreen distance away or closer then yea you can. You can counter alot of what he does with a headcrush at midscreen, you just have to time the invincibilty portion of it right. The situations where this option comes up however are usually quite rare.
uh, if you could recover and block head crush in time, i think you can assume that hed also be able to block a much much slower jugg punch. the only thing that ive ever seen work with juggernaut against strider is to counter headcrush a glitched jugg on doom assist, but i guess that really isnt a character specific strat. thats pretty much the best thing you can do with jugg
