Fun With Colors! The Customize Character Thread

Anybody who knows me from the Marvel 3 forums probably knows that I have a palette addiction that borders on the erotic. Well, I decided to channel that into KOFXIII, and make a thread where we can share our custom creations.

When sharing your creation, it’d be real nice if you could share the colors that would allow others to add it to our own rosters. To do that, follow this format:
Item - Row, Column

So, for example, “02 - 4,2” would mean that on Item 02 (which is the hair for most characters), you should select the color that is the fourth color down, and the second color going from left to right. Simple enough, right?

Now, share your creations! Keep in mind that there are 6 rows, and 5 columns. To get access to rows 3-6, you must select that character at least 40 times. I’m not totally sure which modes count, but I just used Versus mode, selected 3 characters I wanted, and then beat down and rematched the CPU 40 times. You don’t have to use a character for them to count towards the total.

I like the Yukiko/Athena one because it combines Feez’s two favorite sluttiest characters of all time into one being. ggs

Dat Asuka Kula <3 now i just need a Rei hmm.

K’ already has a pre-made Rei color. I think Asuka needs more orange/green highlights to make it more plugsuit-ish.

And don’t forget Maxima’s EVA-01 color. That was the whole inspiration for Asuka Kula.

How do you unlock more colors guys?

Play 10 matches with a character don’t matter if you win or lose (and also don’t have to appear on the screen) will give you one row of colours. So play 40 times with a character in versus(online counts) and you’ll have all the colours.

I wish I came in here earlier to say use (X,Y) coordinates not (Y,X) for listing the color coordinates. Damn, I’m really a math nerd :frowning:

Well, I can change it to X,Y if enough folks feel the same way and shiningnegro is will to edit his to reflect the change. I just decided to go with Rows before Columns since you unlock rows… making them more important in my eyes.

Really, as long as it is consistent, I’m okay with whatever.

I tried doing some green spots on Kula, but it just didn’t look right in a lot of cases. Hard to tell in the shot, but her belt buckle and the little dots on her leggings are green.

Great stuff, man. I see that we think alike, as I was also planning to do a Saki for Athena… when I got around to unlocking all her colors.

Yeah, I could tell a bit. But the lack still makes it not feel Asuka-esque yet.

I like the Jojo references. I feel Kula’s K’ color could have whiter hair. Dunno what’s up with Bulma with green hair unless it’s some reference to manga material which I’m unfamiliar with.

Bulma has Aqua colored hair, but there is no aqua color to choose from. I just went with green, due to lack of a better option

I originally went with pure white for Kula (6,5), but then I put her right next to K’ in training mode and realized that K’‘s hair is more gray than white. I feel like this was as close to K’'s in-game colors as I could get.

Also, how about some color palletes that don’t resemble anime/other fighting game characters? ;3
