Fukiage seems unreliable?

This is probably a basic error but i have been reading the threads and watching tutorials online/sitting in practice and i literally cannot sort it out.

After doing ex hayate in the corner, its like a 50/50 whether my fukiage will connect or not, sometimes i get it so i can jump and tsuraji, other times she just does the motion next to them? its always felt odd to me almost like you need to be directly under people to anti air with it etc.

Any tips on this as it seems so core to her play? I have been using the lp version.

you have to be quite far into the corner for it connect, and you have to do it fast. try double tapping the LP button.

It also depends on who you are against, Cammy and Dee Jay are the easiest to hit the fukiage on and Blanka is the hardest.
